Did find TalkSportā€™s build up funny/awful.

Not only was the entire half hour before the game deicated to how vulnerable Liverpool are - including clips from our defeats at West Ham and Leicester (they were four MONTHS ago!) - they then also eulogised about Newcastle.

One of the co-commentators also said how great it was to see that one of the new owners attended a game last week and was flying the Saudi flag from the directors box. Britainā€™s willingness to embrace murderous authoritarian dictators into our national sport is disgusting. Actively helping their sport-washing. Have we learned nothing from Russian oligarchs?

From the atmosphere you can also feel how Newcastle see today as the first day of the rest of their lives, expecting to beat one of the ā€œOld Guardā€ and then next season win trophies. My disgust is not just saved for the media, Newcastle fans should be ashamed of their club but theyā€™re blinded by a few wins.
