As I said it is what we have come to expect we are refereed to a different standard, but some fouls by us were in areas where they were going nowhere and then could just punt a long free kick into our area causing some panic unless it was near Virg’s head.

Joelinton did himself being overly aggressive in his stretch.
The pattern of their play all - game overly aggressive helped in large by a very vocal crowd.
Ref fucked it by letting them away with a couple of dodgy ones early and stamping down on us when we dared to give even the tiniest bit back.
Fortunately Fanta pubes gave him no option… still needed VAR though

Thats the point though Hopper was having a massive effect on the game giving free kicks which aren’t normally given. The prime example after we make it 3 -2 from the kick off he gives a comical foul on Chiesa which allowed them to pump ball into box again.

Bruno Gumaries should have been off before he scored. I know we scored from that foul on Jones but it was a yellow and then the gobby shit got booked.

Too be fair, Hooper lost control from the off last night.
Joelinton should have had at least a yellow for the high challange on Coady in the first couple of minutes but got away with it being just a foul. Grav got booked the minute he gave Hooper half a chance to effect the game.

Joelinton and I think trippier in the opening 10-15 mins should have seen yellow before Gravenberch got his. Even the pair on sky commentating said both should have been yellows.

Karma did strike in a way though.
Their players got injured trying to injure our players. Really wish we had Robbo and Mac playing this match. They could have matched the snide pricks fouls to fouls as well.
Yeah he did this the week before let a few yellows go and then book the 5th and 7th even if that was the same side.
