Pre-Match | West Ham United vs Liverpool | PL matchday 21 | Sunday January 31st 16:30h | Olympic Stadium

Midtable Championship club, can’t be worse than Mustafi

These days, reminds me of Welbeck without the work rate.

On the game itself, not a bad half apart from the forwards, not sure what the plan is there, staying too wide, yet no one else is making any runs behind the opposition.

Nat has had a very good game so far, beat Antonio in the air quite a few times, kept the passing simple and defended set pieces well.

Maybe moving from a diamond to a more familiar set up could see us get behind them more.

You must have been he has picked out players where even the commentators are eugolising

he literally jus stands there… no football acumen whatsover… so easy to mark

Origi and Shaq not good enough. Firmino and one of Jones/Minamino early on 2nd half.

Ben Davies wtf.

My take on Thiago is that he is good, but he hasn’t really shown us what he can do yet. To use a metaphor, he’s a cherry on top type of signing. So, take our team of last season and add Thiago to the mix, and you get that much more control, crushing, pressing, hemming them in, pinning them back, relentless, metronome, passing…

I think that’s how it was intended to be, and we will see it next season.

As for this season, so much has gone wrong it’s unreal. We bought a cherry to put on top of the cake but the cake has gone to shit!

We lost the central defenders and Thiago got kicked out of it against the bitters. Since then he looks like a player to me who is trying to get to grips with what you are allowed to do in the Prem, and he is learning on the job in a new league in a relatively lightweight midfield, since one or two of our midfield heavyweights have been playing at the back.

So all in all we are only seeing a fraction of what Thiago will bring to the party this season.

They are very good defensively whether you like it or not.
I don’t like ike it, it means Origi needs to speed up.

On another note Captain Tom in hospital with the virus
