PreGame | Liverpool - Everton | PL Matchday 23 | Monday February 13th 20:00h | Anfield

According to Dyche, Calvert-Lewin is touch and go at best for Monday.

Had totally forgotten that for Origi’s goal at 90’=6, that none other than Daniel Sturridge was standing next to him. Doesn’t seem that long ago.

Hey, he’s a top bloke, love the guy

It always struck me that Sturridge was supposedly the one with the poacher’s instinct, but it was Origi who was there. Sturridge didn’t anticipate that ball…

I think Sturridge in his last season wasn’t just done physically, but mentally too.

If you watch, he’s right there with him

Not in the right position to be poaching from that though. A rebound if the original shot was on target and was saved, or hitting the post maybe.

Do we play 4 2 3 1 with talk of Jota and Firmino back?
Id go with:

Ali
TAA Gomez VVD Robb
Hendo Bajcetic
Salah Firmino Jota
Nunez

Jota and Firmino won’t start… front three will be Mo, Gakpo and Nunez

If Jota can start, I’d definitely put him in (probably for Gakpo). But I’m assuming the most he can give us on Monday is some minutes off the bench. That front 3 that started against Wolves didn’t look good. So either we stick with them for at least one more game or change some personnel and the structure.

Ultimate lineup which won’t happen…

Alisson
Trent Matip Fabinho Robbo
Ox Hendo Milner
Salah Nunez Gakpo

This season we’ve tried everything except for Fab at the back and Milly and Ox in midfield.

Everton are going to make the game slow anyway :see_no_evil:

Thank fuck.

Fabinho has no place whatsoever in the back four; anyone who remembers the central defence injury crisis of two seasons ago should know that.

I can remember a 0-0 against Bayern and a 1-0 win over Brighton with him at the back but really can’t remember the results with him when Virgil, Joel and Joe were injured two years ago.

He got injured too after a few games I believe.

According to transfermarkt, Fabinho played 27 at CB in all competitions for us.

Record: 12-9-6.

Last 9 times in the league when it happened we failed to win.

27 games can’t be true.

We had him at CB a few games in our CL winning season and a few games when Virgil, Joel and Joe got injured.

27 games - no way.

He had runs at CB, both with Gomez and Hendo (before we flipped to Nat and Rhys). Also probably other partners as well. It’s in all competitions over two seasons, but mostly that one when we had many injuries. He had a good run at first (undefeated in 10 in the league with him at CB), but then results got worse.

I don’t see us going for Nat/Rhys a midfielder at CB now with Virgil coming back after Everton. Hopefully we don’t have many injuries after!

Fabinho still looked decent then, imagine this version in the backline. I think I’d play an injured Konate before that.

This will be hard to watch. Dyche hasn’t lost time to turn them into the new Burnley.

I’ll be perfectly happy to win 1-0, and please, without any new bad injuries.
