PreGame | Liverpool - Everton | PL Matchday 23 | Monday February 13th 20:00h | Anfield

We are well overdue a penalty or two but do we let Mo take them.
I wish we had Origi on the bench for this. :grinning::grinning:

Late penalty and Salah might not be on the pitch.

However Milner would be

Though being in the game late on and getting a pen seems fanciful.

Posted in the Sir Kenny thread.

He’s still got it

Thank god we have a proper German picking the team

I see Ali says " we have to give more." Personally I do not think it is a matter of giving more but a need to give all from the first whistle. Stop these silly slow starts, they are killing us !

It’s also worth remembering that when Fabinho played in the backline in 2021, there was barely a midfield ahead of him.

Just read that Thiago is out for a month now.:weary:

Yeah, Sam Wallace from the Telegraph say the club worry he could be out for 4 weeks.

Blow, looking at the schedule and calibre of opponents ahead of us…

LCM position opens up, step up Keita, Jones, Milner, maybe even Arthur can help us a little bit.

Of course, we could also flip the structure to a double-pivot more, especially with Bobby coming back in one of the next games.

If we play how I know we can play we would win.

If we play how we have been playing then we won’t.

Dreading this. Not because they’re great, but because we are terrible and it’s really hard to see where a turnaround comes from.

Not the first time and not the last time.

I remember many periods of bad results and then good performances/wins even when it wasn’t really expected. United at home in 2009 springs to mind, after a run of about 4-5 defeats in a row.

Thing is, one won’t turn the season, but at the moment there is literally no point even for us fans to look further than the next game.

I’m excited for this one, I believe the players should be too. Play the game not the occasion, but it’s really a nice opportunity for a good win and get a bit of boost.

The one and only Ev fan in my work office is not confident about tonight.

I didn’t let on that I am genuinely worried about the match.

Every game is a challenge. We just have to stop worrying about it and start enjoying playing again.

Klopp in.

We are going to batter this lot. Just show desire to fight and we shall twat the bitters.

I see both teams playing out to a tentative 0-0

Let’s see if we can turn things around with a “re-mix”…

Twat them, they’re gash!

A bold, some might say sacrilegious, move

We’ll step up and crush them. I’m absolutely starting Jones. He knows what this means better than most. 3-1, lovely.
