PreMatch | Arsenal vs Liverpool | Sunday February 4th 16:30

What???!!! :flushed:
Oh, oh, I see, I see, because of Gakpo and Gravenberch!! :joy::joy::joy:

Our next step forward as a team is to be able to play better against a team that presses us, we really struggle until half time then tweaks and also the opposition tiring.

We either cough up easy possession or go long and lose it, we need ro be brave as when we play vertical passes we are a far better team, agin we are being trapped with 2 right footers on our left side and also a right footed keeper

Game changing subs those!!!

On their goal both CB’s are poor and out of position

As suual, Gravenberch does some nice tocuhes and flicks, but the defensive side of his game is lacking. Alexis in the no. 6, with Curtis doing the Henderson pressing from the left, with Gravenberch usually positioned further forward.

Trent is playing orthodox right back so hugging hte touchline - this requires Gravenberch to link up with him which I fel he has not done well.

I know Grav’s got a lot of stick that half for his “half arsed display” if that’s what fans are already concluding about him, but credit to him for the ball he played to Diaz for the equaliser.

100%, no disrepect to Lucho, he hassled the shit out of the defence

Nunez is going to come on and rip the apart. His pace and running will force them back, minimizing the effect of their press. Arsenal don’t have anything on their bench to change things similarly for them.

I really feel we are missing Salah on the right in this game. The ball is going down that side and hitting traffic.

First things first. 1-1 half time is daylight robbery. Arsenal the better side.

Our goal, well done Diaz. Tenacious. Not many get any change from Saliba, who is a very good player, but Diaz wriggled the other side of him, cut it back and it went in off Gabriel’s hand.

Apart from that…

Intensity! That’s the word of the first half. We didn’t have it.

Nunez brings intensity.
Ditto Bradley, Elliott, Szoboszlai.

Too many were strolling around, and Arsenal looked more up for it.

We need a better approach second half. More fire.

I would sub out Gakpo and Gravenberch for Nunez and Elliott on the hour mark.

Give them 15 mins to show some intensity before we ring the changes.

1-1 lucky for us so far.

I will take it!

Also note that after looking utterly helpless every time we play it about at the back, we score from a goal kick booted up the park.

1-1 playing a bit shit, no shot on target.

Terrible :joy:

Their goalie didn’t disappoint me.

It’s how you was how you labelled Trent and was a bit disrespectful, I have said all along with this game that I wanted both Bradley and Gomez to start and reasons why without having a go at Trent, who against most teams is the best right back.

At the game…we are still on the bus! Take off Gakpo and Gravyboat and Trent. move Joe over to RB and bring on Andy, Nunez and Elliot

Maybe the Chelsea game took more out of them than one thought, but the team is not compact enough especially in the zone between the fullbacks and CB.

Their goal perfectly illustrates this…

Klopp made mistake with the starting 11. Time to fix it.TAA against Martinelli is a recipie for problems. Gravenberch and Gakpo playing on our right side and not contributing much. Even VvD looks shaky. Konate twice covered their players for their goal.

TAA in midfield. Robbo on the left, Gomez on the right. Gravenberch out after very poor 45 minutes.
Nunez will be an option after 60 minutes /probably for Gakpo/. And we must stop with stupid tiki-taka in front of Alisson. Every time we do it, we are in serious problems. in the FA cup match we were much more direct at the start of the 2nd half and that gave us much more breathing space.

Bring on the chaos engine, that’ll give Arsenal something to worry about, we can then start to play.
