Yeah I don’t know what the rule is these days. Though clearly you can stand in front of a defender while being offside and interfering with his vision because the goal stood.
we went two up and stopped playing our game; lost focus and are lucky not to be down at the half

I don’t think he could because he had a man on his right shoulder . No one comes out of that goal looking good though.
Getting a bit tired already if this CL campaign being about teams overloading our full backs. Need a lot more help from midfield, no defender in the world can mark two players, let alone three, at once yet for some reason we have asked Trent to do that in this game and against Milan and given him the barest amount of support.
Probably some thing Trent can do better defensively but he could also do with having a strong defender in midfield and two centre backs who aren’t consistently out of position or facing the wrong way.

agree on all points… but there is a reason why teams consistantly pick TAA side of the field, even Ole will do the same with rashford this weekend… Gina did a wonderful but thankless job covering for trent… we miss him

Keita was naive there. He could have easily fouled Felix there. All there attacks are from the right. Think we need to try 3-4-3. Konate Matip Van Dyk , Trent. Hendo Fab. Robbo, and the front 3. We look too open.
Sensible and obvious change, would hope that this half we are much more capable of defending the counter attacks. We’ve looked worryingly open so far.
While I agree to a point , Trent lets himself be confused there and in the end does nothing , he would have done better doubling up with Naby imho… it’s a bit harsh to blame him though - we had 4 closing in after that and no one risked a tackle. Well - hindsight and shit…
