PreMatch | Brentford vs Liverpool | Saturday February 17th 12:30

Guess we will see.

As I said there not particularly long time frames though. Itā€™s 10 days now.

Klopp never had him available for Brentford last week. I think Iā€™ll still wait for the official word.

Assuming Trent and Szoboszlai are not available for this match, hereā€™s how I would line up :
Alisson
Gomez Konate Virgil Robbo
MacAllister Endo Jones
Mo Darwin Jota
Subs :
Kelleher, Quansah, Bradley, Tsimikas, Elliott, Diaz, Gravenbech, Gakpo, McConnell
Should be strong enough to take care of these guys.

Why not Bradley?

Bring him on at 60 minutes? Then again, Gomez could do with a rest

Just feel Gomez has the physicality and experience to deal with their forwards. And also, Bradley can be an option as a sub on 60 minutes or so.

Oh it is, isnā€™t it. 24 hours away. This seems to have crept up very quickly.

Squad depth looking good again for this one, albeit Szobo and Trent are big misses.

Ibou, Gomez, Bradley and Salah all back.

Guessing the line up will be along the lines of;

Ali, Bradley, Ibou, Virgil, Robbo, Endo, Macca, Jones, Diaz, Nunez and Jota

Bench would be - Kelleher, Gomez, Quansah, Tsimikas, Elliot, Gravenberch, Mo, Gakpo, Clark and another GK.

Michael Oliver Ref, Coote on the VAR, and Scott is fourth official.

Donā€™t mind Oliver, but Cooteā€™s fucking useless.

Just seen that Oliver is 38, and therefore younger than meā€¦FFS

I know he is quite highly rated but he strikes me as having an antagonistic streak towards the players that doesnā€™t sit right with me.

Canā€™t wait for this one. Given the ridiculous level that is required to win the league, it seems vital that we dig deep and come away with the three points. We have form for struggling a bit down there, so we need to buck that trend to stay on top of the league. I think we will. The Arsenal game was our blip, and now itā€™s foot down.

I expect to see:

Alisson
Gomez Konate VVD Robbo
Jones Endo Mac
Jota Darwin Diaz

The two main alternates who could easily get the nod would be Bradley for Gomez, and Salah for either Jota or Diaz.

Given Brentfordā€™s physicality I probably prefer Gomez. He has been having a great season in multiple positions when called on. Mind you, Bradley is no shrinking violet, and his MOTM displays made us all sit up and notice what he can do.

Salah will want to play, but since he has been out a little while, he should be eased in. To my mind he should come on for either Jota or Diaz with 20-30 mins to go.

Iā€™m of the view that Darwin Nunez is becoming our most indispensable striker. He should not be dropped. His pace is a great threat. His physicality means the opposition defenders canā€™t settle. His hard work and pressing sets an example for the team, and helps us get on the front foot. We all know the score on the finishing. It can, and will, improve, and more goals will start to flow, but even while we wait for things to tick up, or perhaps even explode, Nunez should be in the side.

3-1 to Liverpool.

Virg gets a header.
Jota and Nunez with a goal apiece.
Toney pops up with a goal for them as he wants to stay in the spotlight in hopes of a big move in summer.

So Ali thenā€¦

Whatā€™s up with Ali?

Hamstring :pensive:

Doesnā€™t feel like we will get a break this season.

I think we just probably hope for the cups.

Not that I donā€™t trust Kelleher itā€™s just week after week this crap happens.

He could have likely played 3 of the next 6 anyhow to be fair itā€™s tomorrow away at a ground we arenā€™t great at that concerns me.

Happy with him there up til Man City after tomorrow.

No club doctor still ā€¦.,

Oh look every other club has injuriesā€¦
