PreMatch | Everton vs Liverpool | PL Matchday 15 | Weds 12 February 19:30h | The last Derby at Goodison

Frankly, I think the possibility is far too minute for them to even consider. It would involve us losing both our final games, and an incredible number of results to line up.

As far as I can see for example, Atlético play Leverkusen, which means that at least one of them will be out of the running, if not both. We just need 4 teams of 10 to fail to pick up points in the next round and it’ll be all over.

These teams are: Arsenal, Bayer Leverkusen, Aston Villa, Inter Milan, Brest, Lille, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Atlético Madrid, and AC Milan.

They still usually put it as a caveat. I don’t want to have to play two European ties within 3 days because of some assumption.

Good

Just don’t like taking anything for granted.

We seem to keep doing it and it’s shooting ourselves in the foot

Who is ‘we’? The team or us fans on forums? Us here don’t have any influence on performances and results. The team looks very focused in my opinion, form has dropped a little bit, but I don’t see complacency (we can talk about that Anfield “atmosphere” against United though, that’s for another topic).

Wouldn’t say that we’re taking this -1 game against Everton as 3 points already in the bank.

Maybe some fear it a bit too much. The prospect of still playing them twice this season (in the space of a month and a half), last season at Goodison, Moyes back, Pickford or someone else doing something nasty on Virgil or someone else, etc.

Might be tricky, but we’ll relish it as well.

We’ll see when we get there, still a month to go.

Which “we” is that?

There are many bedwetters on this forum who won’t be relishing it.

I was speaking about the team in that case (and surely a good portion of fans as well, especially those who will be in that away end), for sure they’ll love the opportunity to win that final derby at Goodison, especially when we’re fighting for something big.

Pre Game
“Oh we win this 4-0, can’t see us losing”

Post game
“Mwah Mwah we need to spend 100m”

I’m a game by game person, let’s get Europe signed off before we pen this in.

Works for me!

He may never find the consistency to be the striker we need, but today he’s a hero and drinking for free all along Merseyside.

That’s great and all, but what’s all this got to do with Everton?

We had some issues in America with peacock and discourse. I think we need Greenland and Canada.

Sorry about that.

Hope they try to play football against us too but surely they will park the

again.

Another massive game but much more aggressive and dirty than any other team in the league.

Relaxed about this one now - even more if Arsenal don’t win tomorrow.

A draw and no injuries will do.
