I’m assuming that the non-starters from last night will give some indication as to team selection.

Kelleher - keeper

Trent RB, Ibou and Virg and I reckon Kostas will start on the left.

Midfield, Gravy, Macca & Szob will also be in from the beginning.

Up front Mo, Nunez & take your pick from Lucho or Cody,

Great to see competition for places

Robbo needs to be given a break. His performance was dire in the LC.

Diaz got on the scoresheet as well but he played more minutes. Reckon Diaz will come of from the bench.

Really need Jota and Chiesa to get fit fast.

All competitions, with a new manager trying to take over the reins from someone we thought irreplaceable.
Played 14
Won 12
Drawn 1
Lost 1

Yet still people moaning.

I’m sure that Arne and his team will know the personnel, formation and tactics to see us through this game. COYR YNWA :+1:

Team picks itself for me besides the LW position, it’s a 50/50 call.

Going with a 2-1 win.

I’ve just had a look at last night’s line-up and can’t see him starting Díaz, Jones or Robertson with them having played the full 90 minutes.

I’d expect something like:

Kelleher

TAA, Konaté, van Dijk, Tsimikas

Gravenberch, Mac Allister

Salah, Szoboszlai, Gakpo

Núñez

Which is more or less what you picked.

Same for me, assuming we have the other 10 the same;

Kelleher, Trent, Ibou, Virgil, Kostas, Szobozo, Graven, Macca, Mo, Nunez, [left wing].

On the left wing, Arne will be able to play a bit of poker with Brighton. Diaz and Gakpo were both excellent last night and scored, yet they are different in the way they play.

At home, clean sheet incoming I feel.

The answers are:
Kostas; Curtis; Cody

I’m sure they will log on here and see what the consensus is first?

Played the full game last night, and started against Arsenal, coming off in the 91st minute. He also played 80odd against Chelsea. We play again on Tuesday night.

Will be surprised if Curtis starts Saturday.

Yeah I expect he will play Dom in this and Gakpo on the left.

Yep, just not fussed who out of Lucho and Cody plays, both playing well

Soboszlai has played those minutes too as well.

Missing Elliot in between i think , he could have taken some minutes.

Over the last 4 fixtures, yes, over the last 2, Curtis has more minutes in his legs.

Szoboszlai was badly missed first half vs Arsenal.
His energy is central to how an attacking midfielder plays when the opposition have the ball. He occupies spaces and is quick to get on the CM or CB.
I think its him, plus two from MacAllister, Jones and Gravenberch.
I think Jones misses out in this instance, but is not a huge drop off quality wise from any of the midfield.

Diaz or Gakpo is a 50/50 choice. Jota is needed yo keep pressure on Darwin.
I think he was very good on Wednesday, he chases a lot of things others would leave.

The back four will be three certs and Robbo/Tsimikas.
Robbo has been off the pace last two, so I expect Tsimikas to start.

Arsenal and City don’t have cast iron wins this week. Another good performance and we could be top of the league on Saturday night.
