But the Stats show otherwise.
Jordan Henderson had 360 PL appearances, 29 goals and 47 assists., 75 European appearances, 3 goals and 7 assists.
This works out to 0.07 goals per game and 0.131 assists per game.
In terms of output, Jones is closer to Henderson as Output directly determines whether you win, lose or draw a game.
Games like these gives a perfect opportunity to confirm our biases against the players we donāt like and try to put the blame on them. This thread itself is testimony to the fact that it was not because of 1 or 2 players we lost this game.

Those are the goals and assists you expect to see of any #8, which Hendo and Jones both areā¦Hendo even played about 1/3 of those games as a 6.
And the fact Hendo played as a 6 for an extended period of time doesnāt makes Jones look any better. And Hendo has supposedly worse technique on the ball than Jonesā¦
It really is a shame. For all of the great things that Klopp has brought, his Liverpool teams will more than likely be known as the āwhat could have beensā. So many opportunities to hoist titles and trophies, but so many stumbles when it mattered during seasons past and present. I truly love and admire Klopp, but It is the right time for change.

While there is an element of truth in what you say, we must acknowledge that the deck has been stacked against him, at least in the leagueā¦

I didnāt want our season to end like this. I was not expecting the last 2 results to be like this. I am just so disappointed and upset for JĆ¼rgen because he put his energy, heart, soul and health to get this team from mid table. We always seem to miss by a point and also luck is not on our side when we need it. I would also add, decisions against us in marginal offsides etc have also been detrimental to us, where we lost by 1 point. We should have had at least 3 EPL titles under JĆ¼rgenās reign.
How do we pull ourselves together? Like @Wilkored08 I feel so sad and upset for our manager and everyone who put so much effort into this club. We are not an easy club to manage and especially we supporters are not a an easy bunch to deal with.

Surely we can stay ahead of Aston Villa and Tottenham, no?

Certainly true, and a much more bitter pill to swallow because of it.
As much as people harp on the United result last week, and I agree we should have battered them, itās worth remembering we were similarly insipid against them at home; probably could have lost that game if not for Alisson saving from Hojlund late on. To not win either game against Arsenal, City, or United ā the latter being, again, dogshit ā is what will cost us, rather than any of those in isolation.

So Man City, 2 pts ahead of us, are uncatchable but Spurs, 11 pts behind us, are a concern?
This is an almost impressive level of pessimism!

Lets not get away from the fact he has 11 goals from 102 shots with 25 big chances missed. I said at the start of the season he would score goals but would never be a reliable goal scorer 9 months later thats still correct.
Too many times we failed to defeat teams that we have dominated. No surprise that itās come back to haunt us. This needs fixing for next season.
