I really don’t think I am.

Think the whole point of Nunez was to be a focal point of the attack and he just lacks the clinical touch.

Too many games where our actual goals are way under our xG. Someone clinical in the centre would make a huge difference and Watkins has that as well as the build up involvement. Lacks the chaos factor but he’s what we’re missing.

Maybe I should have said instead of Gakpo.

This is true. But today was not a one off. If it was we might reasonably be confident of winning all our remaining games and making a big push, but we’ve been off for a month now. Even if a door opens for us, unless we make an abrupt turn around in form it’s difficult to see us not dropping more points

And I totally agree. Which is why my main concern right now is to somehow bring the team to play at its top for the remaining season, effective immediately, and not whether we have to rely on other scores. We should be there to make the best possible, and see where it gets us.

In all the years under Klopp, there hasn’t been a single time we’ve climbed out of a hole quickly. Playing at our best seems beyond us for now.

However, that doesn’t mean that there is no hope. We don’t have to be at our best to win. We just need to stop shooting ourselves in the foot. I’m not giving up yet. But something has to change immediately if we are to stand a chance.
