We’d probably miss.
Don’t agree with that at all. Jota is our most selfish player. Salah had been providing loads of assist before his injury. His form just been terrible since his return
@Hope.in.your.heart, apparently I have given you to Maria. That’s your que.
That means we will win the league, no?
Also, in all the years with Klopp, I remember (maybe wrongly, but I think it’s accurate), great run ins, even in seasons that were not justifying good run ins, like last season.
So yes, like you, I’m not losing all hope yet (even though I just passed him to Maria).
Huh?
What conversation is this from?
No Jota’s was the easiest, but him Jones and Nunez should all have scored
Because we have a poor shape and concentration when defending, Konate is so guilty of ball watching, on several occasions, when the opposition gets in our half/final 3rd he isn’t aware of opposition players. I said it last week we need a vocal CB like a Carragher to bark out orders and organise us defensively
Another game where we can’t take our chances and then arsenal go and bottle it against villa, it’s not over yet arsenal have not won at old toilet for years and city have not won the last 3 at spurs.
We got 3 away games in a row now and the way we are misfiring we will drop more points, we got to give it our best shot for Klopp.
Like my grandfather used to say to me “You can wish in one hand and shit in the other, and see which one gets filled first.”
Hello guys, old poster here catching up with the new forum. I was left in the previous one wondering where the heck did everyone go.
Just came to say I would gladly drive Nuñez back to Braga fc upon request. He’s strong and fast but his football brain just isn’t there. Dude more worried about how cool his tattoos and hair do look than about actually scoring.
Toughest league in the world that of yours, it’s just ridiculous how the arse and us are on way to be left empty handed. I’m more confident in a unlikely comeback in Italy than in ManCheaty stumbling
Jusy watched the game and finishing has been on of our main reasons for losing that is obvious.
However our defensive organisation and shape is a major reason for giving up goals at times our defenders are not aware of where the opposition attackers are and are caught ball watching, for me we are naive defensively and aren’t compact especially when we have time to get organised.
We have needed to somehow keep a clean sheet, but can anyone remember when we have looked liked keeping one and when we have it has normally come from some great last gasp goalkeeping.
There is a great squad to work with but sticking the ball in the back of the net and looking solid defensively needs to be improved.
I would have loved Alonso because Bayer, create but are defensively solid
Welcome back to the mayem of TAN!
It can be chaotic and challenging at times, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Especially if Nunez was holding the gun
A really difficult afternoon for us, but we’re still just about alive. Just.
The match felt a bit tale of two cities. We were really poor but really unlucky. Palace we’re so good, but really lucky.
Today is what happens when you ride your luck one game too far. It’s all good and well having the best powers of recovery in the league, but having to come from behind in every fucking game is going to take its toll eventually. You can’t do it every game and at some point the goals are not going to come.
But they so nearly did. The miss from Curtis is fucking criminal, but you can’t legislate for the last minute blocks/saves on Diaz, Nunez, Salah and Jota. It’s outrageous defending, and there is a huge element of good fortune to it. It was one of those games where it just won’t go.
But when it’s a game when it won’t go, it’s even more important not to concede that first goal.
We were also very bad in the first half and much improved in the second. We probably could have been 2 down in the first based on chances and not been able to complain, and then while still being FAR from our best had a good enough second half to have still comfortably won.
I think is worth repeating. On at least 3 of the big misses Palace may have been able to keep it out more through luck and judgement, but it was luck that was earned by not giving up and trying to defend the play all the way through the end.
That penalty we should have had at Chelsea.
That Brighton player who should have been sent off.
That pen we should have had for the Odegaard handball.
That penalty we should have had for the Doku foul.
The Spurs match.
Pick the bones out of today til you’re blue in the face. They’re the reasons we wont win the league. Not because of today.
Fuck them all. Webb, Tierney, Kavanagh, Coote, Taylor, Hooper, Brooks. Fucking die.
Jaffod, you don’t think we can ever win the EPLagain regardless of the new manager or Jürgen?
They have new offside technology coming next season.
You forgot Luke Shaw’s handball at Anfield.
Certain other teams would have got the penalty there.
Next year we’ll have linesmen, ref, var and now saot.I have a feeling they will still get some close onside/offside decisions wrong
