Even with mobility, we need patterns of play, forward thinkers and risk takers on the ball. We’re way too slow on the ball.

Just seen that with Gakpo, that is an issue some are not prepared to give their all in both offensive and defensive situations, just ambled and watched

Frimpong is a difficult one to judge on that first half:

Defensively, especially when he was even slightly isolated, was skittish. I don’t think any of the 60k or millions of worldwide viewers have any faith in his defensive ability right now.

Offensively, he’s been involved enough but has absolutely nowhere near the clean control of the other forward players like Munoz, Gakpo, Wirtz, Macca or Szobo. Just not enough end product for mine.
Id give him a pass mark so far but nothing more.

Macca does his best and is doing his job better than Szobo in threading the ball vertically. Unfortunately, his slight frame is not help much in shielding the back 4.
Szobo on the other hand is poor as fuck again. Szobo really can’t pick a pass.
The FBs cannot defend for nuts which is why we need 1 specialist Ball winner DM and 1 DLP to cover their fuck ups.

Movement, energy, and desire to actually get the ball up top. Munoz is eager but messy so far whereas Cody has done ok when the ball has got to him but is far too content to let the game pass him by. With him and this version of Isak up top it’s a very sleepy front line.

Build up remains too slow. Full backs and midfielders slowing the play down.
Barcola won’t be the magic pill we need , as he can’t get past players when all the spaces are already covered,because Kerkhez or Frimpong decides to do a back pass.
AI should start giving out fines for players playing a back pass in he middle of an attack.

Same croc of crap that we have been watching for over twelve months now. Taking an age to get into the opposition half through VVD and the rest of them tip tapping it around in our half. As McCoist has just said Liverpool have become too predictable.

That’s not how it works. The organising centre back should always be the last man, it’s the other players responsibility to be level with him, not the other way around. It’s a laziness throughout this group that needs to be addressed, everything else will then improve.
