Thiago needs better ‘footballers’ around him, apart from Bobby and Robbo our pass and move is non existant for most of the game, when we do do it we look good but it doesn’t happen enough

Our players go into the pitch knowing every games gonna be a long hard slog.
Very wasteful with poor ball retention. Hope we improve next half.

I wish Sky had followed through and sacked Carragher the spitting prick. Gomez has not been all over the place. He made a poor pass and gave away a free kick at the end. Maybe he should watch some of his games against the likes of Henry. Thats a defender all over the fucking shop.

Failing to get three points at home against these would be just as bad as losing at Forest.

Joe also has the edge over Carra, in the ‘not blowing out of your fucking arse after ten minutes’ stakes.
He’s increasingly looking like a player who can only play going forward. When you’re a deep player in a high pressing team that limitation isnt that exposed as you’re always moving forward to squeeze. Now there is more space for him to cover and across a wider range of angles his cruise liner like maneuverability is really showing up.
I have never been on the move Trent into midfield team, but it’s increasingly looking like they’re both playing in roles the other one needs to play in to help then not get exposed.

He successfully tackles a dribbler 37% of the time, which is way below average for a midfielder.

Same first half as has been this season, so not surprised. Conceding first, looking sloppy at times, not focused yet can create if we want to and miss chances in final third. Could have scored more and could have conceded even more!
Robbo looks brilliant, Nunez impresses me every game he’s playing and Bobby was nice with some of the link up play.
Sure, but with regard to the number of shots he takes and either tests the keeper or scores, I would expect to see better.

He doesn’t need to do anything but defend a bit better, forget about the World Cup there’s about 20 cb’s Gareth would pick ahead of him.
& Carra is right with what he said…that’s putting it politely.
We’ve gone from being one of the worst teams to face to the easiest. Apply a little bit of pressure and energy and we will turn over the ball over and over and the best part is we are one pass on transition into being on for a shot. Bar Robbo we’ve been poor… again… Groundhog Day.
Teams around us drop points and like death and taxes we shit the bed. Mentality monsters checked out a long time ago.
We need another controller at 6 who can also do a job defensively. Fab at the moment and for me doesn’t dictate from the 6 position and our possession football just goes to the fullbacks and stops there as we struggle to play through teams with just Thiago trying to do it all from midfield. Our best 2 centrally this season were Hendo and Thiago.
Klopp has to protect Joe, this cannot go on like this. I am not Joes biggest fan but this is totally unfair meanwhile.
