PreMatch | Liverpool vs Manchester United | PL Matchday 26 | Sunday March 5th 16:30h | Anfield

One thing I’m pretty sure is that we will most probably continue (for now, for this game) with someone else centrally, either Jota or Gakpo and not Nunez. He will probably remain on the left.

I felt, listening to Jurgen’s presser (and also because it’s pure logic), that he feels we have a chance of pressing them and causing real problems without Eriksen.

We’ll need defensive activity from that central guy, to put Casemiro + whoever (probably Fred?) under pressure from all sides.

Nunez I think might get more game time central maybe in some “smaller” games (last time we did that didn’t look good, I think it was Wolves away), as we test and work on that main idea to remain basically for all games.

We’re pretty guilty of that right across the entire squad to be honest. That’s not exclusively a Hendo thing by a long long way. Our forward line’s ability to retain possession is sketchy at best for example.

For the first time it feels like mind games from Klopp - lot of damming with faint praise…

Nah Klopp isn’t 1 for mind games you can see the sincerity in his face, think he genuinely is an admirer of Rashford spoken highly of him every time his name is brought up…so am I tbf, I only despise the fact he’s a born a bred manc…but a sound lad who focuses on his football and is a tremendous player, whatever difficulties he had last season looks to be behind him now and good for him.

Nothing new, he’s almost always respectful of opponents who are doing well. Like a lot of other managers.

It could also be him making the point that sometimes sticking with a player through their bad form is the right thing to do, knowing that 90% of fans will want a heavy cull in the summer. There are multiple ways of absorbing what he’s saying, including just taking the words at face value.

The memory of one United fan of United’s performances and results at Anfield in last years and decades, since '98. His theory is obviously that all but 1 United win was scrappy or shite and as we can see, there was never a great performance and a handicap win (par example like our 0-3 in 13/14 or 0-5 last season at OT).

Found it funny to read. :joy:

The guy certainly likes to use the word… Shite :0)

and other toilet related terms - piss and crap feature.

I wonder what’s worst, a shite game or crap game?

I can only assume piss poor is better than shite or crap.

“Biggest smash and grab you’ll see.”

That John O’Shea winner in front of the Kop.

:weary: :joy:

Wasn’t it Rio? Or was it just footage of him giving it some (along with Nev) to our fans?

Rio’s was in 05/06, at their ground. And that was also Nev’s celebration (although that could’ve happened many times!).
