Agreed. I think our worst performances/those that have given off the vibe of us throwing the “lesser” competitions have usually been when we were unable to field a team that had trained together rather than a patchwork team.
FIFY :0)
It’s also how injuries happen.
I was looking forward to the cups after the league had just annoyed me recently and was glad some sense was seen in the EFL cup but yeah there is no integrity in the cup at all considering some teams will probably avoid testing if they can to give themselves the best opportunity and then effect the other side.
Peter Krawietz sounds a bit robotic in that press conference.
Starting line up?
Any footballer in the club that doesn’t have Covid-19.
I guess we are keeping our cards close to our chest, and if the 6 who had it are now clear that’s 6 and Morton doesn’t seem to have it.
Otherwise see if any player is walking their dog or having a jog on Instagram.
They’re losing their minds on the Caf over this, accusing us of cheating because we won’t say exactly who has tested positive, etc. you love to see it.
I just hope we field the strongest team possible without putting any ones health at risk and play with pride. Looking forward to it myself.
Ouch! That’s harsh man
But possibly fair
I think I am the only poster that has handed over a ‘like’… We all love a trier eh A.L. :0))
I felt a bit sorry for him. He looked like he’d rather be facing a firing squad. He’d clearly been told to say nothing so just repeated the same things over and over again.
He looks like he just woke up and got out of bed, haha. Trying to get any information from Pete is like getting water from a stone. He doesn’t give much away and is very smart in giving answers.
Karius start tomorrow?
Why?
If Becker is available and Kelleher is not then we play Becker.
We might have to play some kids, we are not trying to throw the game.
And has he even trained with us for that matter. I’d rather go with Pitgula or Adrian if they are available.
Surely Becker won’t play. Jürgen doesn’t seem to like playing first choice keepers in this stage of cups.
Think Kelleher is out and Adrian aswell.
Klopp doesn’t play them because he has Kelleher and Adrian as well as Pitaluga.
Klopp doesn’t usually play the likes of VVD in these games but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him.
I’d expect he will play a mixed side If he has one of the other three he has at least benched he will play him before Karius and I expect he may even go with Becker considering the lack of preparation.
Musialowski would be one I hope we see tomorrow.
Hoping for a routine win like City or Chelsea but I can not see it happen. Always difficult games when we have to mix up teams together and now the circumstances are even more difficult.
Two years ago this team started against Shrewsbury and games ended 2-2
Replay finished 1-0 with this team
Those two line ups suggest that we had little or no interest in progressing in the FA cup. Sad really. There was obviously a reluctance to play any first team players. Hoping for an entertaining game.
I see the Karius rumours are gathering pace. When did he last even play a competitive game? I hope he is playing. It’s a long time since I saw a keeper take a goal kick and give away a corner and I could do with a laugh. In all seriousness if he plays I hope he does well and gets a great reception. He must be haunted by what happened in Kiev. I know I am.
