How about celebrating tonight’s victory first, eh?

It’s @GermanRed.

He already did that last week.

He’s eager to get in before me, thankfully we don’t share the same woman.

You stole the easiest match of the season from me.

I was sure you would not be able handle this one.

Don’t worry

Southampton are fucking trash and it’s the perfect game to rest players in between a hellish CL tie, 3 or 4 could do with having their batteries recharged for the home game…because my word they’ll need it.

Kelleher
Quansah Konate Virgil Kostas
Endo Mac
Jones
Salah Nunez Gakpo

If Gakpo is still out, I’d find a way to get Harvey in the side.

They’ve had 6 days off and looked crap. I think it’s best they keep it up. I’d switch Tsimikas and Jones potentially but keep the rest.

I’d have thought Tsimikas and Jones were nailed on to start. Possibly Quansah as well.
Front 3 of Gakpo (if fit), Nunez and Salah.
Can see Endo, Elliott and Chiesa getting some minutes off the bench.
Need to beat these, don’t want Arsenal thinking they have any chance of getting back into it.

Agree with those expecting rotation here. Southampton are absolutely shit, and we should be able to handle them. Wouldn’t mind seeing Chiesa get a runout, same with Gakkers, Jones, Tsimi, Quansah, Darwin. Mixture of some of these starting and others coming off the bench.

We’re into crunch time now lads, have to manage the squad from here on out to collect the prizes. Pivotal week coming up starting with this, then beating the frogs on Tuesday, then stuffing the magpies at Anfield South for the cup.

The only issue I have with rotation it seems we play poorly in possession with a week between games

Rotation of about 4-5 players needed before the 2nd leg against PSG.

Gravy has looked leggy of late, would give Endo a start.
Jones for one of Mac or Szobo. With Elliot to get some decent minutes.
Nunez a start. Wouldn’t risk Gakpo unless he’s deemed fit enough.
Fullbacks: Tsimikas to start, and Trent to be subbed around 60 by Quanseh.

But in the end, whatever it takes for the 3 points.

We don’t want to be PSG’d.

1 v last should be a simple 3 points but I’m sure the great Slot is already working his angles to overcome complacency.

At least we have plenty of health so Jones is good and should start. Chiesa gets a run off the bench this time and maybe Endo Tsimikas and Darwin are potential starters.

I’m enjoying fucking up mouthy Arsenal let in continue.

I’m expecting some rotation and players rested. I’m just hoping for a no-nonsense 3 points. Oh, and some serious possession.

Whilst I appreciate Slot’s tactical nous against City and PSG, I really don’t think I could bare to watch that every week!

Go strong, plenty of substitutions if we are controlling the game

I think the 4 midfielders setup is what is giving us stability in the midfield. We should be looking at using a similar setup against Southampton. The first choice trio in midfield do need a break. It’s a tossup between who starts w.r.t Grav or Mac for me. Dom definitely shouldn’t be starting for this match. He’s been relentless and we’d want him fresh for PSG and then the English Oil Cunts for the final.

Salah probably would want to start but I think we need to give Chiesa a run against Southampton initially atleast.

At this point, Elliot is the natural backup to the right sided #10 (Dom). While he doesn’t offer what Dom does offer. He can link up well with the right sided forward as well as Trent.

I’d be very happy if Trent gets a break. But until Bradley is back, That’s a risk we need to take.

I think you always start the strongest team then make changes instead of starting a weakend team.

No chance that team starts. Against Southampton it’s going to be 433, no question.
Jones/Szoboslai plus Endo and MacAllister. Salah starts to get him back on track after last night. Maybe Darwin and Cody if fit.
Tsimikas will start and Quansah on for Trent or Ibou after 60.
Chiesa might get minutes, but the game will be safe by then.
