A very poor display from us. TAA is awful, he needs to understand that first he must defend. Wolves target his zone with huge success. Robbo doesn’t look concentrated too. Konate at fault for their goal.
In midfield an injury to our best midfielder amd looks like he will miss the final. Plus Fabinho is injured too…
Keita is pretty poort too, he does not protect TAA, his passing is atrocious and he had a perfect ball to score, bur somehow missed.
Jota must not play vs. his former team. Too many emotions, he can’t pass, he can’t shoot. Diaz is a good player, but he has that irritating habbit to miss clear cut chances. He needs to improve.
Only Alisson, Matip, Hendo and Mane look to have calm heads at the moment. I don’t care about $ity, but we must improve and if we don’t imptove, we wil not win.
The message from Klopp should be forget about the City game. We can’t do anything to influence that. Concentrate on our own game and get our job done here.
How this is going to end will be Man City scoring an equalizer on the 83rd minute and after their match ends, we are still on 1-1 and into the 5th minute of injury time and we get a corner and TAA sends an out swinging corner to the edge of the penalty box where Henderson will score with a flying header.
I see the need for VVD but now that we’re making an enforced sub i was hoping Mo or Bobby for Jota before 60 minutes then keep the other sub back in case we need to bring on the other one to go 4 up top near the end. Not winning this game isn’t an option now and while VVD will settle our back 4 we need to just risk it and try to outscore them, i’d happily take an 8-7 scoreline right now
A bit of a subdued performance from our lads today. Vulnerable at the back on several times, and going forward, there is a lack of quality for the last pass on too many times.
But we must acknowledge that we miss three key players whom any team would miss. Now, a fourth one is out…
Even like that, our lads have had the lion’s share of possession and chances. Fine-tune our play a bit, shore up the back, bring on Bobby and Mo at some point, and we should be good enough for the win, especially as Wolves will gradually tire down. Fingers crossed for the three points!
