PreMatch | ManUnited vs Liverpool | Sunday April 7th 15:30h

Antony ‘I support Altrincham’ Taylor, is the referee tomorrow.

Is ‘angry’ code for leg breaking tackles? I hope Jurgen (he won’t, it’s one of his weaknesses) comes out strongly and says that the ref needs to protect his players from reckless angry fouls and instructs the team to stay down if they are tackled and captain and rest surround the ref.

Who cares, he certainly doesn’t. It (might) help us influence the match.

Just have to keep winning regardless of performance in this time of the season. Arsenal is running away with GD with opposition somehow rolling over for them so we just have to keep that one point ahead just to frustrated the hell out of them and Man City is at the place where they want to be because they will just keep winning and hope we screw up, they did this to Arsenal last season and more than capable to do that again.

Jonny Evan’s kept a clean sheet against us earlier.

Let’s not underestimate these, all they want is a draw and we have form for not getting what we need here.

Some of the guys doom predictions over here are much more dire than my vaunted India cricket world cup predictions.

This will be a tight match (knowing that United line up to play anti-football) but we will get through , we have to.

What good would that do?
Just leave Manure to carry on kicking our player on the ground!
Even so we’ll only have 1 option continue playing as the ref won’t give anything and play will go on, forcing our lads to immediately jump back up and hobble till the ball goes out of play or one of our players tickles a Manure elbow …

Hope the wind drops a bit. I could hardly stand up on my early morning beach walk. Raging sea…

I hope we do well today, with no injuries.
Whoever has the luck, VAR and doesn’t hit the woodwork too much will win.

Yep…it troubled the u18’s yesrerday…

Not really. India losing in the finals was always on the cards for me. It’s not been the first time India’s been dominant throughout the tournament only to cock up in the finals.

The fact that it is at Old Trafford would hopefully mean they would not set up with 10 behind the ball. Their homd crowd would not tolerate this. I think this will be an open game. We just need to make sure we don’t make stupid mistakes such as fouling unnecesarily or grapple with their forwards in our penalty area and we should be fine. I hope our midfield starters are Endo, Mac and Jones.

I’m sure they are hoping that there will be 11 behind the ball!

Heh, sorry I actually meant 10 outfield players behind the ball - 2 banks of 5 as per Hodgson.

I was just joking however do feel that Manure supporters at the moment don’t know what they want. Less goals against or more goals for?

What ever they want I hope they don’t get it!

I am a coward but I am thinking now that I can’t watch this… Our season probably hinges on this game and the thought of losing to them again is making me too stressed. Enjoy it and get me a win guys.

Hopefully we can reproduce the quality half an hour or so we had in the last game against them and the general fitness levels of both teams are more equal this time.

You absolutely live for these kind of games, I wish we play important games against United multiple times per season across different competitions.

You can’t win them all, but it’s the thrill that is the best part. No fear, just a great challenge for both teams.

Hopefully Endo is fit to start and I’d go with Gomez ahead of Bradley at RB today.

They should be used to it by now because that’s the way they set up at home against anyone half decent. They’re gonna defend on the edge of their box looking for quick transitions and bypassing their non-existent midfield to get their forwards away. Robbo and Gomez need to show a bit of nous today.

They target our right hand side every time we go there. It usually pays off. They’ll do it again today because they have fuck all else.
Cope with that and we’ll be fine, allow them to play 1-2’s around our RB with ease then it will be the same old story.
My other biggest fears here are Salah and Szoboslai strangely enough. Mo needs to make the right choices and pass the fucking ball when the chance arises and Dom needs to cut out the flicks and back-heels and show some conviction in the final 3rd.
