Kelleher’s point about the fact that football results probably don’t matter much to the lads this season is probably at least in part true. Their obvious lack of motivation/energy can possibly be explained with that.
But at some point (which is now), it should stop serving as an excuse.
The tactics are no excuse for Salah seemingly incapable of passing the ball to a Liverpool player.

It’s not gravenberch. We started with a double pivot last season and we left grav to hang out to dry this season.

I don’t want to see a Liverpool team giving up on the manager but at this point it’s clear that the tactics are at fault.

Yes, I think it makes absolutely no sense to constantly blame the players when the coach is obviously failing to give this team an identity and self-confidence etc.

I won’t be unhappy if we keep Macca as he’s a really good player. And the point is well made that several are off form as we have struggled this season. And of course Slot is on thin ice and there is a strong suspicion about the coaching being insufficient.
I’m thinking about the blend moving forward, and I see Wirtz as a fixture in the attacking midfield berth, and I’d like someone a bit more robust than Mac Allister in behind. Teams are just walking through us this season.
Who is the fall guy here? So many to choose from. Good job Gakpo’s already gone home otherwise he’d be the first to get hooked off.

At some point , Slot’s tactics aren’t being understood by the players. The onus is simply on Slot there considering most of the same bunch won the league last year.
