PreMatch | Southampton vs Liverpool | PL Matchday 37 | Tuesday May 17th 19:45h | St. Mary’s Stadium

If I would have to choose between draw and loss i would hope we get beaten tomorrow so that they don’t get the chance to win the thing live in their (empty) stadium.

Tbh don’t even think they will be watching together tomorrow.

You can’t really set out to win 7-0 in this league.

If Southampton get a man sent off early and lose the plot we can do a Leicester and stick 9 past them.

If Southampton come out and give it a proper fight, we can be happy with any victory.

If the situation does arise where we are 3 or 4 up early then I don’t think we’ll take our foot off the pedal like we usually do, but getting there is the hard part.

This man isn’t human. He can play 90 years!

Exactly. The draw against Tottenham took goal difference out of the equation. We just need to win our games and hope Villa get something off City. That’s the best we can do. Push City until the last day.

That’s what Sky will be hoping for…

It’s been said a few times before but once this game is done and dusted we have absolutely normal spacing between this evening and the next two games. Much more so than we have had for at least a couple of months.

Depending on how Fab is, I’d expect pretty much a full strength team against Wolves in prep for Real. I actually expect the Wolves and Real games to be of much higher quality than tonight because of it. We just need to battle tonight which I know the boys will.

Didnt Milly win motm or very near in his last game as the 6 for us?

Just my opinion. I dont think its unreasonable to suggest that his best position isn’t central at 6 anymore.

We don’t want anymore injuries so players gave to be rested and for me Hendo and Thiago need a rest and Milly is the best option left that I trust in the 6 role. Just look what happened with Fab being overplayed and he has less minutes than Hendo

Mate of mine is a Saints season ticket holder and he has no hope for this one. He reckons their season’s been over for at least 2 months although he seems to say the same thing every May. I’m not so sure it will be easy. It’s come around very quickly after the final. I never thought it remotely realistic that we’d go all out for goal difference in this one given how close it was to the Chelsea game. That was always going to extra time so it’s good that now it’s really just about winning the game in whatever way we can and taking the quadruple to the final day. That will be an achievement in itself.

precisely! Are you listening @Klopptimist ‘flat earth’ bollocks…

There’s nothing bollocks about something that’s been explained to me. Because it’s been explained to me.

Ever heard of Steve Smith the high jumper? Won an Olympic bronze? I met him once, did motivational speaking for a while. He went to the Olympics with the strategy of “medaling” That of just performing to get a medal and when the opportunity arose, jump at chosen heights to guarantee a medal. He regrets every day of his life that he didn’t go all out for gold. He wishes he’d have risked it all for the highest prize. See where I’m coming from?

If we don’t concede any free kicks within 30yds of our goal, we should be ok tonight. Don’t give Ward-Prowse any opportunity to have a shot.

We all know changes will be made. Klopp has been consistent on this in every media talk one second after the FA Cup final.

Need to win any way possible. A scrappy 1-0 win in the 83rd minute is sufficient. A backline of Gomez, Matip, Konate and Tsimi will be solid. Milner to patrol in front of them, with the other two midfielders being attack minded. I expect these two to make a lot of forward runs into the box.

If all goes well, we can nick an early goal from a corner. Up front, Bobby, Jota and one of Mane or Diaz. The one left out to come on in the 60th minute, alongside our lucky charm Big Div if needed.

Kelleher, Gomez, Matip, Konate, Tsimikas.
Jones, Milner, Morton.
Bobby, Origi, Jota.

Yepp. Silly thing is I don´t really drink. !!

Congratulations mate! Well done :+1:t4::slightly_smiling_face:

Congrats     .

Thanks for all the good wishes. It has been a hard year as my wife of 57 years has stage 4 lung cancer. LFC success has helped to keep me smiling. LFC and music , better than any pills
