Yes he is, so he’ll slot in for Ibou. I hope he’s had a good couple of weeks off. That Brighton performance was up there with the worst CB displays I’ve ever seen.
Wonder if it time to make the Fab to Centre Back move…
If we do that, it will be 20-21 all over again:
- put Fab in as CB
- lose a few further games
- then, out of dispair, put Phillips and Williams in there
- we get into the top four in the end!

His last PL match was Brighton-Villa in November where he gave 10 yellows. 
After that 1 match in the championship.
May he stay away as long as possible, we got Coote back who is as incompetent as they come.
We should be so lucky. 
Keep playing the guy while he’s fit. In 3 weeks time he’ll snap something whilst opening the fridge.

I do think people overrate Phillips on here sometime but I do think if you move the backline slightly back he is probably your best option especially against a team like Everton.

Probably make a better fist of it than VVD and Gomez too.
In fact, our entire back 4 has been pretty poor this season
Maybe a couple of midfielders in front of them they would perform better 
He can’t be worse than liability Gomez.

Phillips plays only if we really have nothing else, that’s clear. Matip’s not been great lately and Gomez has been much worse, but no way Nat comes in ahead of those two. Afterwards (hopefully not for long until Virg is back), we’ll see. He might get some minutes.

Looking forward to this, predicting we’ll play really well for a 30min period, Nunez starts and scores all his chances, and end up boshing them 3-0. Come on you reds!
