Premier League 2020/21 (Part 1)

That was Harlem Globetrotter stuff. Might be the best short corner play I’ve ever seen.

McGoldrick don’t score many, maybe Brewster next .

That partnership had five clean sheets in a row before today. They’ve improved significantly as a defensive unit in the last month.

No wins in 11 games for Sheffield Utd, that is poor.
Chavs equaliser. 1-1.

Missed the last of what was a cracking nice Crystal Palace victory because the US election nonsense was more important. Also missed Sheffield’s goal.
I am hearing that Chelsea are complaining about it. What happened ?

I see it is 1-1 now…

I think they don’t need to change approach before next season. They have played some very good games, leaking goals of course, but have 10 points with 7 down to relegation at current. If they change approach, likely they will score much less and win less points overall. That is what I think anyway. I really do think changing their approach probably means they will create a lot less, but it is too early to state categorically of course.

Chavs ahead. 2-1. I think it’s only a matter of how many Sheffield will concede.

I gave you a heart for the info, not because it gave me a warm feeling !

Good ball from Ziyech but terrible goalkeeping from Ramsdale.

Rightfully so!

Dreadful goalkeeping on that 2nd Chav goal.

It’s a small sample size, but from what I’ve seen of Brewster he seems to be completely uninvolved in games. Obviously he has some quality in front of goal but I’m not sure he offers much else in terms of an all round game. Looks like he has a decent work rate but at the same time he’s not particularly making a defenders life hard like certain strikers with less quality manage to.

Ramsdale is absolutely pants. Flapping at everything.

I know, but Ramsdale…really

So, this will be 1 point from 24 for Sheffield Utd. Not many managers can survive that.

I was thinking the same thing, You wouldn’t know Brewster was on the pitch. No pressure on the Chelsea defenders from him at all.

I hope they look behind results though, I have seen quite a few of their matches and they haven’t been that bad. I don’t think they will be relegated and I do think he is coaching them well. Last season they were spectacular as a newcomer in the Premier League, but its impossible for such teams to keep that artificial position stable barring divine intervention.
Maybe if they sack wilder, they may get a short bounce, but then they need to reconstruct both ideas and team and overall probably a negative for them and I don’t think Wilder deserves that.

Agree, they have been playing well and they play aggressive style so they need to be patient with the manager and give him time.

I reckon they’d still back him to finish above West Brom, Fulham and Burnley. Surviving should be their main aim again this season, finishing above those three probably ensures that.
