Premier League 2020/21 (Part 1)

Fulham will barely offer any threat to anyone. They got promoted 2 seasons too soon in any reasonable timeframe for a rookie manager like Parker to achieve sustainable success. Derby County comparisons or at best Cardiff City will be wheeled out by Christmas

Palace’s pitch looks pretty rough considering it’s the first game of the season.

Zaha with the first goal 1-0 Palace

Droolworthy combination between Townsend and Zaha for that goal. Palace fans would love Zaha to stay after that display, but if he starts the season this strong perhaps some clubs will meet the asking price. He really should be able to get into double figures on goals with his talent.

Roy is such a soulless passionless twat. They score a decent goal and he’s sitting there chewing his finger nails.

How many foreign (non British) managers do England (PL and Championship) have? While clubs are interested in investing in foreign players, they don’t seem to take the challenge of employing foreign managers.

There’s an awful lot of average and uninspiring managers for a really long time.

Haha, if I didn’t know the pandemic was on, I’d say he just crawled home from the pub. Or maybe the sanitarium attendants threw that suit on him hastily because his grandchildren were coming to visit.

Surprises Anguissa didn’t start for Fulham, he looks a good player.

Lower down there are some young english managers that look like they good be good, the problem is that P/L chairmen woul never have the balls to make a call like that, hence why everytime someone gets sacked you get the same old crepid, turgid old twats like Woy, Sam, Moyes and co doing the lower Premier League merry-go-round

Palace only scored four time’s in first halves last season. Euphoria early on in the season for Woy.

That’s a REALLY harsh sending off for Walker-Peters.

EDIT: Moss being asked to review it on monitor. That’s a very harsh red IMO.

VAR’s off to a positive start to the new season, looks like. Right decision to downgrade it to yellow.

A good VAR decision there and it’s a positive to see the Ref go to look at the monitor. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

Didn’t waste too much time on it either. Last season VAR would have wasted 5 minutes on it, not get the on-field ref to look at it and ultimately stick to the wrong decision.

What. A. Save. Wow. Guaita sealed the 3 points for Palace. Mildly surprising result for me.

Yes, Southampton were very poor today.

Allan Saint-Maximin is so fun to watch, another good year with Newcastle and he’ll have some good clubs sniffing around him.

Jamal Lewis has started well for Newcastle. This is more his level and it’s a good move for all parties.

Callum Wilson scored, Now Hendrick also scored (what a screamer). 2-0 up for Newcastle (True Geordie must be jumping with joy). How long will Moyes be there?

A pretty competent performance here from Newcastle. Even Carroll and Manquillo have managed to look decent today. Their squad actually appears to have some decent depth to it now, currently have six injuries to first team players but whereas in the recent past you’d say they’d struggle with a situation like that it appears as if they are well equipped to survive comfortably this season.
