Yes we should blame our team for not being good enough to overcome refs and blatant financial doping and win 38 out of 38 in the league whilst reaching the final of every cup competition we’ve entered.

Whichever way you slice it we needed to win that game. That was the opportunity to get our noses in front and sadly we failed. It will require a minor miracle to have it back in our hands, so if that happens I’ll take it as a huge bonus (not least because I’ll trouser a £500 win!). If we win either of the other cups the season has been a success, (hugely so if we win the CL). Winning both would be incredible. Next year my solitary annual bet will be on us going undefeated and getting over 100 points on our way to another league title
