I assume it’s because the only way to get to Falmer is by train or car, like that’s an excuse.

I think it’s basically impossible to rearrange European games before the World Cup.
It also looks like two of our PL games will have to be rearranged. First the Wolves game on Saturday and the Chelsea game is Sunday next week which will be the day of her funeral.

Very odd situation as you have Golf at Wentworth which can’t go to Monday and Cricket which I assume which SA can’t really extend more than a day I reckon.
I assume they may cancel the football out of respect but with the Proms going on Saturday you’d probably think that boxing is at risk.
No disrespect to the passing of the queen but canceling all those events (especially those at the weekend) is so out of date and the chaos (rearrange all of the events) it will create - sorry - it’s just not worth it.
Go ahead with the events. God save the queen (doubt anyone would boo it at the weekend). Minute of silence + the applause after.

Queens funeral and us playing at Stamford bridge next week on Sunday - isn’t that also a conflict?
As expected. They may as well come out and announce postponement of next week as well…save everyone a week of getting up in arms over it.
January 17/18th is the next midweek with no games so far.
Would be madness to cancel next weeks games too.
