Premier League 2023/24 (Part 1)

Have to be surely, they must have 1 of the lowest coefficient rankings in the tournament, even when you factor all teams that are to play in the qualifiers.

You never know I suppose, a cheeky envelope of cash from Amanda addressed to Ceferini and he gets a little excited and bops them up a pot.

Low, but not one of the lowest. They get a big boost because they are a PL team. On their merits they get 4 coefficient points, being a PL team boosts them to almost 18. An English club currently can be no lower than 86th. That still leaves them low, but there are 12 teams ahead of them not in Europe this season, and some of the other 73 sides will be in the EL.

Nuke it from orbit.

BURN IT! - Burn it to hell!!!

Also, did he really just do a Toffee James impersonation?

?!?!?

What a way of presenting your new goalscorer to the fans… :see_no_evil:

That being said, I’ll be very intrigued how Amdouni will perform at Burnley. He absolutely smashed it with Basel and the Swiss team last season, especially in 2023. He seems to be on a massive upwards curve right now, so it’s no wonder that clubs are interested in him.

He’s the kind of Always at the right place at the right time - player (with the clinical finishing to go with), but also with an enormous workrate in the defensive phase of the game. He has also quite some pace to burn, and an excellent awareness of how the game flows. In my opinion, he’s one of the best Swiss talents to have come out in the last years. Certainly one to watch next season.

Kompany has impressively transformed Burnley since he came in last year, and from the interviews, seems to have a clear plan what to do with him, and if he does, there is no reason to think that he can’t translate his talent at a superior level. €18 millions is no small fee for a player coming from the Swiss league, so he surely knows why he went for him.

Hopefully it’s the right step for him at this point in time, we’ll see.

Seems the PL are having a random tournament in the US (I guess), anyhow Sky are showing it for the night owls.

Videos circulating of brawls in the stands during Arsenal vs United.

These yank meatballs are so desperate to be proper hooligans that they’re wearing their Stone Island and punching each other out at shitty pre-season friendlies

The games have been pretty entertaining for a neutral so far as well.

:person_facepalming::roll_eyes:

And you know who would be first up.

Really amazing stuff from the Burnley media team tbf, here’s another one :joy:

Watching this PL Summer school thing and Newcastle and Brighton are basically just trying to see who can fall over the most.

Instantly dislike both teams more.

If these summer series games are anything to go by the PL is going have a lot of goals. I feel we are ahead of this lot.

Most of the stand is vacant in the Maryland game.

It was for the last one I watched.

Probably about taking a game over there it has to be big teams which will probably be us or Man Utd.

The Guardian’s season previews are off and running…

They’ve predicted Arsenal to finish second again… no doubt they mean to City. I can see Arsenal finishing third, behind the Tricky Reds, as well as the perennial cheats.
