Premier League 2023/24 (Part 1)

Ratcharlison all alone in the box with 4 Everton defenders and still finds himself in acres of space…what a mess. Hope Spurs batter em.

It’s a typical game at Goodison Park. The fans waving their ‘Premier League Corrupt’ cards, booing anything and everything and losing the game.

So according to Everton fans…

Corruption = punishing clubs for intentionally breaking the rules.

Exactly that.

Vicario weak as piss again.

Better than Alisson they said.

Pigeon Boy again

Cracker of a finish tbf

No point diving for that 1 Pickford mate, Ratcharlison’s turned into prime RVN.

Vicario turning into prime Flappy Bird

My team had a grey shirt about 10 years ago. I didn’t think it looked that bad. But we play all our matches summer evenings, and from late July the matches are finishing with the sun going down. By the end of the season in September, we are often finishing in twilight. Differentiating grey from a lighter colour became very difficult, and it even became surprisingly difficult to distinguish from some colours we think of as dark (some greens and blues). Our best attacking player absolutely hated them.

They were replaced by a near fluorescent pink. Problem solved.

Everton fans - “You’re all corrupt”

They are managing to be impressively loud and almost universally negative at the same time. You don’t see that much, elsewhere anyway.

Good old Werner, nothing new with him.

He’ll be back in Germany in no time, maybe a Stuttgart this time and not Leipzig.

Hilarious. Richarlison the villain for a late tackle on Godfrey…the replay shows no real contact. Godfrey just play-acting, howls from the Goodison crowd.

Then again it’s not often you see FFP actually working but with that said, Everton fans are a breed of their own.

It’s the natural end point of the way all discussions on domestic football have gone. No line at all is drawn by anyone between legitimate grievances and tantrums and the end result is every fan base thinks not only are they getting shafted, but some cabal is working against them specifically and elevating some other side/group of sides.

Football fandom and all the media around that has become utterly deranged.

As for the game, Richarilison has down low turned into the player Spurs expected when they signed him. He’d got 8 in 8 before today so with this double he’s now right in the thick of the top scorer race

Thus making Everton feel even more justified that their FFP troubles are all Spurs’ fault for not paying what Everton wanted for Richarlison.

Or something.

Do you know what, I’m not too disappointed with that

Lovely assist by Romero.

Vicario contorting himself in faux pain to try to draw VAR foul. Pathetic.
