You are not predatory, and although a strange opportunity to be a bit macho/wolfish presents itself you had no inclination to make her uncomfortable.
And thats the decision the majority of men would make
Think of the underpaid, sad girl in the motorway service station mens toilets. Cleaning piss and shit on the minimum wage. Very few men would make her feel uncomfortable, because it isn’t how they operate.
Similarly, the notion of trans women using the female toilets as a vehicle for attempted rape or assault just doesn’t add up.
Not all men act like cunts at every given opportunity. And a lot of women know this. I get the nervousness of men in womens toilets of course, but its a really minor part of a complex discussion.
Not at my pool. It has been communal for 20 years…Personally I hate it. Many years ago when it was common to have a single sex shower area or sunken bath after a match, I entered the men’s shower area only to find a starkers young woman in there. I pointed out her error and she calmly said the women’s showers aren’t working. As the other guys came in she just carried on with her shower and hair washing surrounded by a load of naked muddy guys .
It’s almost as if you’ve never used a public toilet before. I have been to countless where the urinals can literally be viewed from the pathway outside of the toilets. Most men don’t have a problem with using those, since unless you are trying to piss backwards over your head, your body is between you and your tackle.
And certainly not posting a picture of it here. I’ll give you a few examples. Mr Happy, Mr Very Happy, Big Miss Sunshine, Little Mrs Stormy……. Was dead funny when I was 12.
If that’s the gents, I’d guess that the ladies was was one stall, two max.
The real problem is with poor provision of women’s bogs in the first place which is something that men don’t really appreciate, we just complain that the women in our lives take forever to go for a pee.
I’ve it pretty rare to have separate men and women’s changies at public pools. It’s usually individual cubicles off a shared space with lockers and so on.
Gyms and Spas are the only places I’ve been that still go for separate changies.
In newer ones yes as it’s cheaper. The only problem is women have to shower in their swim gear. Guys can have a quick soapy rummage (stop giggling) but hands in a lycra skin tight is tricky. Petty point granted.
Ah the days of school when the PE teacher made you line up naked and parade into the showers. Always seemed to be his fav part of the lesson. Never worked out why.
The big advantage of communal changing is if you take a family with kids along as there’s no need to separate.
Both the swimming pool I used in Scotland and the one I now use in Germany have both group showers and individual booths so that really isn’t a problem.
Was it a boarding school ?
I was going to say that type of stuff never went on in my schools(state/church run & catholic) but it probably was not the type of stuff that is seen/openly discussed ?
Maybe it was different growing up in the City and suburbs rather than in the countryside but short of being hit with a ruler/cane which was openly done until about the early-mid 80,s,you wouldn’t have seen anything like that without people being up in arms about it.A lot of sudents in my secondary school had no problem putting it up to teachers, even if it meant suspension/expulsion .
Same at my school. There was a row of hot showers and then you emerged into two cold ones. The master made sure you stayed under the cold ones for the required period of time. He counted us in at one end. You couldn’t escape as it was like an enclosed run. He then watched us all emerge at the other end. Character building he said.
