Roberto FIRMINO: 2021/22

I think we should refocus this thread for Bobby.

Nah not really. You said he was never good enough. In my simple opinion, he was and we had a back and forth about it - kinda the point of the forum.

Re AWB - you’ve entirely misread my point - that Clyne (in my simplest of opinions) is at the same level as AWB - I was trying to set a bar of where I think he was compared to a current RB in the PL.

I didn’t suggest you said anything else, and am certainly not being very disingenuous or even disingenuous. You’re getting paranoid now (imo)

Edit: added “very” in

He’s Rubbish!

You have distorted what I said that’s disingenuous.
We did not have a back and forth as I never questioned your opinion I accepted it even though I feel it is wrong and is wrong imo. You kept decideing what I meant that doesn’t make me paranoid but it says a lot about you.

As for AWB of course that went completely over my head as I hadn’t a clue what you were on about and still don’t.

I’m out mate - I wasn’t being disingenuous and am far from paranoid.

Good chat x

Would love to see his goal return per minute this season. Back to scoring ways…

“Give the fans to Bobby and he’ll score!”

6 goals already this season, which has been disrupted by injury and seen him behind Jota in the pecking order. An impressive return.

Pippo Inzaghiesque.

Those 3 tap ins will mean like Gini’s 4 goals for Newcastle at home against Norwich at the end of the season.

:joy:

It’s not the goals
It’s not the sharpness
It’s his exalted face that gives me the greatest pleasure. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Aww Bobby, you are back

Nah, it’s OK but it’s not as good as the one I’ve got now. I love that pic.

Bobby’s doing more of the traditional number nine things this season. Not sure if it’s a conscious change but he’s in the six yard box a lot more. His link up play is still not anywhere near as good as it was a couple of years ago but he’s getting plenty of tap ins. 6 goals in less than 4 hours playing time. Pretty good going for a player who’s not on top form.

I thought it was only in my imagination and most probably skewed by his three tap-ins yesterday! Maybe he’s feeling the heat from Jota, maybe Klopp had a word with him about dropping too deep, I can’t tell. I don’t think he’s ever played as close to goal as in the last few weeks, though. Opponent’s goal, not his, haha!

I also can’t recall him scoring many tap-ins, he always seemed to score difficult goals - but then again, it seems like he hasn’t scored at all for ages, I literally can’t remember any goal of his since that last-gasp header against Tottenham - and that was almost a year ago!

Fowler would’ve been proud of his goals yesterday, those are his favourite.

I don’t think it’s anything dramatic. But he looks physically leaner and mentally fresh to finally start his season in a proper way. But yeah, he also lost some easy balls yesterday.

No talk about a new contract either (like the talk with Salah), Jota’s had some so-so performances, that’s all just extra motivation for him to do the best he can this season.

Gotta say though, his celebrations are probably the worst in the history of the game. Looks like a clown, but he’s the total opposite. What a weirdo!
