add another 5-6 million should do it

Trent’s ‘official’ position is right back. However, he is now spending more time in midfield than at right back. At this moment in time, I don’t think JK wants Trent to play as a traditional midfielder,

  1. It would negate the extra man we get in midfield.
  2. We wouldn’t be using his strengths as much.
  3. We are not playing 433 are we?
  4. Obviously, things could change.

That’s how I see things.

PS. Romeo Lavia, I trust those who say he’ll be a monster. I can’t personally comment.

Southampton have turned down opening offer from Liverpool for Romeo Lavia. #LFC proposal - thought to be worth around £37m - rejected by #SaintsFC as they seek fee in region of £50m. Personal terms for 19yo Belgium midfielder not an issue

We placed a bid!

Southampton no doubt bracing themselves for an improved bit. We’d better hope that fax machine is in good working and that there is ink in southapton’s

Moaning about ITK’s is ridiculous. Just don’t read their crap if it bothers you so much people.

Ya…More like it. Guess if they are very adamant think we will give them like 43 million + 7 million in add-ons. But think 40+5 should do the trick.

Looks like this guy has some insights on this deal. He was the first one to report today morning about the bid.

yes he does…believe he is reporter from same country as lavia

Southampton have been clear during direct contacts with Liverpool today for Roméo Lavia: they want £50m package to make it happen. ! Liverpool will keep working on it.

I have to say that I have my doubts as to whether he is mature enough to cope with the pressure and immense expectations associated with this move. Our fans are very impatient and toxic when players make mistakes etc. He would have a huge burden on his shoulders if things didn’t go as expected.

I don’t think our fans do get on young players backs in grounds. Nunez struggled last year, but his name was still sung pretty much every game he played in. We aren’t in the CL this year, so the pressure is not as high, so if anything, it’s an ideal season to join the club - get some European experience, get bedded in etc. He was playing at a team that got relegated last season - and was their best player. Expect him to perform significantly better playing with better players around him.

Hopefully gets done swiftly and he can join the tour in Asia.
