We told you this morning that as official bid was expected soon… I understand now that a 1st bid has been sent as per@David_Ornstein around 35M£ but with a counter-offer made today by #SouthamptonFC board of directors. #LiverpoolFC wants to close the deal around 40M£ but #SaintsFC wants more but conversations are really open as the aim’s to find the right deal.
Are we going to war …
Its on sky sports now so its true
I now understand why folks dont like “@DaveOCKOP”… he quotes sources but does not give credit, just says “according to reports”…
You left off “the cunt”
deliberate choice… was gonna call him worse…but im a decent man myself
Should be banned on here.
i agree…regret posting stuff from him
we got macallister who is easily worth 60 million in todays market… you gotta pay the piper at some point. jus pay saints and get the kid into camp ASAP
Liverpool’s opening offer for Roméo Lavia is understood to have been £35m + £2m in add-ons – they are expected to return with an improved bid #saintsfc
I assume we are probably on about the 4th or 5th bid now if these chancers are talking about one.
At least it’s some news.
Seems like we will get this one done eventually, we aren’t that far off asking.
For TAA, he may operate like a midfielder, but the pressing question is if he is out, who replaces him? And i think a more traditional RB will go into team instead of selecting another mid. In that sense i don’t think you count him as one of the mids, even if the argument can be made he spends most of his time in the middle. If he switched full time to CM, surely we’d be after another RB? As it is, we look a bit light in cover for TAA unless the kids are ready to step in for some games.
Tbh i find it crazy that a relegated club wants 50mio for a 19 year old boy. This is way overpriced imo.
I suspect City’s 20% sell on is why they are holding out for £50m. That would leave Southampton recieving what they would see as his full value while we pay the sell on for them.
Although I don’t know the ins and outs, if that 20% doesn’t include add-ons then they’d actually be better selling for a lower fee and getting all the add-ons later.
Just not excited about this transfer at all.
For the rest of us, that counts as a bonus
Final offer: £37m and we’ll forward the £13m owed to City directly if/when they are found innocent of all financial mismanagement charges
so chelsea interested as well according to skysports… do chelsea have an actual plan or is it jus a scutter gun approach
