Romeo Lavia (DM/CM) Southampton

Yes, same guy. He is relatively new in the job only coming over from City’s academy this summer. No idea about the relationship with Kenny though but there is certainly nothing reported or in his career arc to suggest there would be issues between them, but I’d also doubt given the other relationships that it would mean anything positive either

Some interesting insight into Lavia’s role within Man City’s academy set up before he had played for Southampton & the benefits of him playing him over Romeu who he succeeded in the Saint’s midfield

It doesn’t sound dissimilar to what the current Liverpool system might require at this point with Trent inverting in possession but being able to maintain back 4

When does lynch start quoting TIA?

Its his article. Ive noticed he’s written a few recently for TIA

With the amount of money we’ve given Southampton in the past, they should be doing us a favour…

this is taking too long… we are a quick strike team… longer it takes, i get worried

I worry all the time about these things … :joy:

Took a peak at the Saints board and no one is including him in the lineup for their Sheffield match next week

I guess they are just kidding… they are presumably pretending to negotiate a bit longer just to entertain the masses… because they need some time due to the delay with our departures, he surely has already signed and everything is done

At least I hope so :upside_down_face:

It depends on who we are getting. Mané and Virg, or Lambert.

negotiations continue for Romeo Lavia with the midfielder eager to move to Anfield. -

So that’s now Joyce, Bascombe, Ornstein, Plettenburg, Lynch, Romano, this Jacobs fella, and this Tavolieri fella who’s on it.

I’m left wondering, is there anyone left? Where’s that beaut Reddy at?

Not that it matters but are you using beaut in the positive or negative sense here?

Selling 29 yr old used up(our doing) Fabinho for £40m and using that money to buy 19 yr old Lavia sounds like a very good deal to me.Even though the young lad will need time to reach his potential,he can’t/won’t be any worse than Fab has been over the past couple of years.

On the contrary, I think he’ll be a lot better with a ton of potential to develop even further

From what most have to say about the lad that does seem to be the case.As far as i’m concerned the only way is up.

When the two lads go, just to be replaced by Lavia.

Is this enough cover? Lose two and gain one. What’s the consensus? I’ll be happy but probably need to keep Morton about just incase
