Sadio MANÉ: 2020/21

Just 12 goals and five assists in 36 games this season. He is really struggling. Hopefully Klopp will not release him for NT duties and he can get some rest.

Whisper it if you will, but Klopp has gone coo-coo :sob:

Not only has he allowed Mane to play for Senegal, who has already qualified, he has been allowed to play both the games against Congo and Eswatini/Swaziland . Am I missing something here, Eswatini is supposedly a red-list country .

Not concerned about injuries but about players getting COVID while away from Liverpool.

However, the players haven’t been ‘at home’ for so long so it might help the likes of Sadio, Mo, Thiago, Gini and Keita mentally.

What :flushed:

Yeah, agree with your other point though.

Played 90 minutes with Senegal and did not score. (0-0)

Senegal has already qualified. It was a warm-up/friendly.

Is he back yet??? Swaziland is on red list so wouldn’t be travelling there in any case.

Really love the way Mane evolved as a player and character in last years.

Best “proper” wide player we had since probably Macca and then going back to Barnes.

Agreed @zoran. Sadio has evolved on and off the pitch and not only is he a world class footballer he’s a world class human being.

I love how candid he was with that reporter and I absolutely love his spirit.

Anyone know if Mane can play for us Saturday same for Salah?

He needs to get his mojo back. He works hard, as usual, but it seems all confidence and composer has been drained out of him. Twice he passed, once to Firmino and once to Salah, when he should have shot and could have scored. It was actually his bad/untidy touch that allowed Jota to score his second.

He’ll have to go Bach to basics.

I thought he was better last night, he just needs to be more ruthless in the box.

If he could play against Rob Holding every week he’d be the best player in the world. He terrorised him at Anfield and last night again he beat him every time he got tight.

In moments, I thought he again had the wrong studs again, the way he slipped all the time (or was on the verge).

Good one.

I feel if he’s played as a falsetto nine his form will crescendo

His goal scoring has disappeared, but his hold up play is incredible. I’ve never seen a player contest a 50/50 like him. He’s incredible. In fact I’ve seen him contest 90/10s in the defenders favour, and come up with the ball.

It’s obviously better when he’s scoring, but he is the sort of player who even when he’s off form is making the opposition players’ day hell.
