I wouldn’t even have bothered responding to that offer if I were the club. Derogatory at best, at worst it’s just a play to drive a wedge between Sadio and the club.

Talk about being derisory… I wonder if a player, when a club, that are allegedly desperate to sign him, make such a negligible offer for him, ever thinks “hey, these bastards want to sign me but they don’t want to cough up the money, I don’t wanna play for them”. I know he has only one year left on his contract but he’s a world class player with an almost impeccable fitness record. I’d expect at least twice the amount that Bayern initially offered, to be honest.
So it’s seems we will let him go for less than £45m which is shocking tbh. Definitely the worst decision - transfer wise - since Klopp came in.

No fucking way. Sadio has been brilliant, no doubt but Salah’s contributions in goals and assists are on another level completely. Salah is criminally underrated by a significant section of his own fans while Sadio was quietly having a pretty lean 12 months or so before having a very good 6 months. Fuck knows why more fans aren’t pissed off about his ‘special fucking news’ while Salah gets slagged off about his cunt of an agent (rightly, too at times).
All of a sudden it’s keep Mane and let Salah fuck off. Mane is in the same age bracket, has palpably lost a little bit of pace and become less effective on the left. He’s reinvented himself and done brilliantly in the middle but it’s been all of six months. But yeah, lets give him a bumber contract till he’s 34.
P.S For the record, I did say that I don’t see Salah performing into his 30’s as well. I personally would not be renewing either of them but wouldn’t like to lose both of them on a free either. Salah is more saleable but looks like he’s staying and he will probably guarantee at least 25 goals and 15 assists next season, figures I think a fully on Mane ‘might’ achieve. I didn’t think this as the beginning of this post but on its conclusion I’m okay with 40m and thank you for the memories.
They would reject that and ask for ‘Bratwerst’. A deal breaker.
