Sadio Mane (LW) to Bayern

I heard is that he needs to get at least 80% Sengalese who wants him to leave Bayern within 2 years.

I threw this one in once before. If Mane spends the bulk of his wages on helping his home country (hat off to you sir, brilliant) then could a deal be done where we do it directly (dodging all the tax) and everybody’s a winner? Same with Salah.

we dunno how that works, we’d have to ask Citeh what the process is.

I’m not sure they know anything but helping themselves…?

Really don’t get this constant shitting on Jota talk, his poorest form was when he moved out left to accommodate Mane in the middle.

Other than that people keep bringing up the one chance against Wolves

I think it’s more the suggestion that he could replace what Mane offers, which this example shows he can’t

He’s really good for us, but I’m talking about strengths and weaknesses. Mane came inside because some of Jota’s performances centrally weren’t good and in phases of the game it looked like we had a player less on the pitch. Look back to both games against Inter, other in the league when we need more than just his finishing. He had some good games when helping out the midfield also, but obviously we weren’t convinced.

The other reason Mane came inside was Diaz. He did very well off the left, so then we were looking at Mane central, or Jota, usually Mane got the nod, not least because his form was excellent.

I think Jota is a smashing player, works hard, knows where the net is, and is a valuable member of the group. Had we been able to do a whole season with Salah, Mane, Diaz, Jota, Firmino, I am confident Jota would have seen plenty of action, as the form, energy and fitness of different members of the group went up and down a bit over a whole season.

Mane was getting the nod a bit more after Diaz arrived as Jota was slightly off form, but to be fair, Sadio was slightly off form earlier in the season, and Mo was on fire then, but slightly off his best post AFCON. Over a long season they all would have had a chance to shine and raise the group up.

In the new future that is emerging, hopefully we have six good strikers to work with, fighting on all fronts, rotating them in and out somewhat, to keep them all tip-top, and utilizing the five sub rule well.

For next season I would be happy with:

Diaz-Nunez-Salah, with Jota, Firmino and Carvalho seeing plenty of action too.

We should sign Sadio’s brother and sell Sadio to Bayern, but actually send his brother instead. A plan with no drawbacks.

Does he have an identical twin brother?

Do one Bayern until you come up with a serious offer.

Talk about taking the piss. Tell them to get fucked Julian. Sell him to a club with a bit of respect, or keep him for a year

I wonder if Bayern are getting the same offer from Barca for Lewandowski?

Funnily enough, apparently they’ve been saying very clearly he won’t be allowed to go, that they’re expecting him to finish his contract.

I’ll have whatever they are smoking…

Are Bayern the European equivalent of Arsenal?

No; they win things.

Bayern are being predatory due to Sadio’s contract and willingness to leave. But they appear to be operating in a way they have been conditioned to in the Bundesliga. Over there they are at the top of the pyramid, and the whole structure seems to exist to feed them. They cherry pick who they like, when they like.

We are a giant European club and shouldn’t just send a curt reply to Bayern. We should also respond in kind, by sending a series of low ball offers for Gnabry, or whoever else we might fancy.

Should put the price up a couple of million in response.

Jokers.
