Was cross when Torres left but pleased we got 50m - until I realised the deal was actually 15m plus Carroll. Imagine Torres of the season prior with Suarez of the season(s) after though!?!
The player that really pissed me off after Macca was Owen. Losing our standout striker for such a dismal fee - 8m I think it was plus Nunez who was totally unwanted - really hurt and showed how low down the European standings we had fallen. Real didnât even really want lil Mickey and just took him cos they could and he was cheap - if I recall correctly they offered him back to us the next summer for double the fee and, when we refused and they wouldnât lower the ask, he went to preSandcastle. Hate the fascist cunts.

Beardsley was the first lesson for me not to get too invested in players. McManaman was a bit gut-wrenching too though simply because it was one of the earliest indications that we were a long way from the club of the 80s.
Even home grown players were now determined to force their way out of the club.

We want ÂŁ17m for Minamino and a report this morning said 17m euros
We want ÂŁ40m for Sadio and the reports say 35m euros and 5m euros is close

What are their choices/partnerships at the back, who is helping out Kimmich in midfield, what is the new structure and dynamic in attack without Lewa and with the addition of Mane, what does that mean for Muller and their other 3 main wingers.

Weâve got our man so I expect this will move along pretty quickly now. Whilst weâre right not to let Bayern mug us off there also comes a point where dragging it out for another couple million just doesnât help anyone. Heâs off, we know it, we just need to get it done and move forward.
Will be sad to see this thread and his player thread close. He was the first big piece of Kloppâs jigsaw that has got us to where we are. You got the feeling all hasnât been entirely hunkydory for a while now but can only wish him well.

I would love for Sadio to continue on at Liverpool but his forthcoming departure doesnât make me feel sad. Not because of Nunez incoming. Itâs more that Sadio has won everything there is to win with Liverpool during his stay here. And he leaves as a legend with no unfinished business.
The likes of Torres , Suarez , Coutinho & Owen leaving hurt me because they hurt and weakened the club. Sadio has been one of the first transfers of Klopp and he leaves the club with the club being in a very strong position. Same goes for Mo when he eventually does leave the club or Bobby for that matter

The pound and the euro are more or less the same exchange nowadays Gary, wouldnât get so hyped up about it.
Still 15% more than the Euro. Whatâs 28 Pounds possibly equates to 32.5 Euros. So it is a sizable difference when you look at it in scales of millions.
