Now it all makes sense. Sadio bought a dashing blue outfit but thought it would be inappropriate to wear while playing for us so he signed for Bayern Munchen who have a looser grasp of the red-blue colour thing.

Football players are not football fans. If we lose a match, Bobby after the match might be smiling and chatting to a player on the winners team, particularly if they are South American. I donāt hold that against a player. I expect our players to live and breathe football but wouldnāt expect them to die for the club, like some fans probably tell themselves they would.
Sadio might have personal or family reasons for moving out of the country. Maybe like we all assume he wants to carve out his own career story instead of being trapped beneath Salahās - Notice how Manes contract situation has barely rated a mention this season until Bayern showed up, yet Salah in an identical situation was talked about ad nauseam? He will likely get a much brighter light shone on his career stepping away from Salah. I personally see him improving in a system where he doesnāt have a teammate as the central attacking focus. There are lots of discussions on here about how his form has supposedly spiralled since 2019 as if heās a 2010-11 Torres, and Iāll guess weāll see. I know what Iāll be banking on.
Personally I donāt ever recall a player leaving Liverpool and announcing they have been loved more at the club they moved to. So Sadio is going to realise that pretty quick. But maybe the love from the fans is not what he is after but the love from the wider football community and peers?

Consideration from peers is often far more important than from fans so this is a really good point.

I also think some of our fans are perhaps too quick to say that a player gets more love from fans here than elsewhere. Too many of our fans appear to only āshowā that when a player is leaving, rather than while they are actually here.
