I am sympathetic with the first reason but completely disagree with the second.
A huge HUGE problem in today’s society is people canceling others because they disagree with what they are saying.
The cornerstone of liberty, freedom and Western values is free speech. This era of canceling others because they have the wrong opinions runs very counter to this ethos so many claim to believe but fail to uphold in practice.

Meanwhile, the same people crying cancel culture are more than happy to silence the voices of gender and ethnic minorities, and nowhere to be seen when it’s the free speech of such people to be defended.
I spit upon the pretence towards a defence of free speech.

This fucking thread is the entire reason why I can’t marshall the time to update the Russo-Ukrainian thread. It’s so depressive. The same people who claim to want to read what I post, is in favour of a ban. Insane hypocrasy. And I am supposed to post when met with these underhanded attacks on what I post. I have spent hundreds and hours, this is how they thank me.
It is so egoistical that I cannot even. “Oh, I want you to post, I find it informative”. Next second, “ban his sources!” 
As long as the same people who claims to want to be informed is in favour of a ban, I will naturally not post. You don’t deserve it. I don’t fucking slave for you when you spit in my face.
