Summer Transfer Window 2021

The tabloids are on to a winner there!

This one is a weird and complicated one. I thought Barcelona had loaned him to Betis after buying him from the Brazilian club.

It’s an example of how broken the transfer system is. They both bought him together. Betis got to register him, but Barca’s stake was based on a clause that could buy him at a fixed price after a couple of season of him working out his faults at Betis.

Giorgi Mamardashvili from Dinamo Tbilisi to Valencia on loan with option to buy next year for less than €1m.

He’ll be a quality addition to them, that front four will be quite something. That said, while this is a position they need strengthening in, I think that it’s midfield that it’s their weak point. That front four requires some tactically astute hard workers, I don’t think they have that in their squad (well, I’ve always admired Matić but he’s too slow these days).

Let’s see… £20mil is a huge difference in price!

This reminds me of their haggling over Fernandes - in the end, they paid what Sporting asked but they got a top class player. I do wonder what the future holds for Pogba, whether he extends or returns to Juventus. If he moves, they are certain to get money to cover the rest of Sancho’s fee and buy someone like Rice.

If they upgrade Pogba with Sancho and Rice they will be a good side… Good job they still have a dogshit manager who is tactically very poor…

United have shown time and time again that they will pay anything for any player that they want, so no reason for Dortmund to negotiate.

Either someone else will come in for him or United will pay the full asking price.

Crap season under the radar and there you go…

5 more years left from his original 9-year contract.

Like they did last year? Might change now Woodward is involved but he is terrible for failing to land deals by trying to under-bid. Reminds me of Ayre!

Yup, I feel we’ve been here before…

Ilaix Moriba, young midfielder at Barca, has a year left on his contract and there seems to be some doubt about whether or not they can agree on a new deal. If not, they’re likely to sell this summer. City, ManU and Chelsea mentioned as being interested. City have been close to getting him before, but he decided to stay at La Masia.

Pedri has made the Spanish squad this summer at just 18 and Puig has been really good when used this season. But many think Moriba is the best of the 3, just a bit less developed currently. The question for him is where can he go to get the games he needs to really kick on and I dont think that would be here.

Is Buendia a replacement for Grealish?

Yep, my brother in law is a villa season ticket holder and they all believe Grealish has agreed to join City.

Good signing, he’s an excellent player who works hard.

That should be a decent signing, is it a record sale from a Championship club/a club that just got promoted, by the way? Aston Villa’s two main attacking assets will now be big money signings from Championship, pressure will be on Buendia to replace Grealish’ numbers.

I hope they fleece Man City for Grealish, though, but who makes way for him? Guardiola to repeat Rodgers’ trick and play Sterling as a centre forward? That said, someone claimed that both Sterling and Mahrez will be made available this summer, can’t remember the source.

Buendia or Grealish?

If the rumored number for Buendia is true, Grealish would fetch twice as much.

PS: It’s not rumored anymore. BBC reporting as agreed.

Both, but I was talking specifically about Buendia.

We scouted him a lot according to twitter!

Buendia was a main target for Arsenal. Shows how far they have fallen behind if Aston Villa steels one from them.

£30-40m for Buendia? Means that City will probably pay double of that for Grealish. It is City, right?
