£21m is the fee for Guehi. Chelsea have already raised £55m through their summer sales so far.
Yeah despite their spending they’re not quite in the same category as the Manchester clubs because they do usually raise a hell of a lot in sales. It just looked worse than it was last summer (with £222m spent) because it was two years spending happening at once with the sales still spread out over the two years. Over the two seasons it was actually only £68m net or about £35m net per year when looking at it all together.

This will make it all the sweeter if we beat them to the title with largely the same team we currently have. I’ve been largely uninterested in all the rumours around us thus far, as I think that our main issues are more of future replacements for ageing players rather than the need for an immediate fix.
City on the other hand… It isn’t a transfer window for them if they don’t splash out £100m it seems…

McNeil is the type of winger who would have tormented Liverpool’s fullbacks when Rafa was the manager.

Villa interested in McNeil? Could be them preparing for Grealish’s departure. Although we’ll see where they use Buendia; off the right in a role similar to Jack’s on the left or on the left also at times. Or maybe McNeil would also have in his locker the possibility of trying to play off the right. But then Everton going for 3 wingers? What’s happening there? Who knows who leaves Everton in that case, could be a few. Bernard certainly one, James could be another one, even if he might not be a winger (or tucked inside from the right) in Rafa’s system.
