I would give him a 3 year contract he does not only conquer balls on his ability to run but on his understanding of the game too, love the bloke.
Btw: Think Firmino could be a proper midfielder like Kanté if he puts his mind to it.

Calling Manchester United.
Kante was gash last season. He no longer has the physical traits that made him so dominant. Do not want, and supposedly neither do Chelsea any longer.
Ivan Ordets from Dynamo Moscow to Bochum on loan.
Henry Onyekuru from Olympiacos to Demirspor on loan.
Remy Cabella from Montpellier to Lille on a free.
Another failed striker experiment at Everton that they hyped up something silly only to see him do sod all.

Does anyone remember the celebration at Jelavic being a better signing than Suarez?
Seeing Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Barcelona all thrashing around trying to get deals done looks increasingly disorganized compared to ourselves.
We wrapped up our transfer business early, even have most of the outgoings sorted and now focused on pre-season training. Meanwhile Man City are still talking about signing a new CB, LB, CM and LW with nothing close (even suggestions Cucurella may sign a new deal with Brighton). Chelsea are seemingly throwing money at random players with no real plan. Arsenal are mentioned with new players every couple of days. Man Utd in a long pursuit of De Jong that currently looks like they will fail to sign. Barcelona are for some reason chucking buckets of cash at average Premier League players like Christensen and Raphina at a time when they are also asking their existing players to voluntarily cut their wages.
It’s lovely to sit back and watch the utter nonsense of a transfer window, knowing that our club has already done what they set out to do.
Bit boring though isn’t it
Come on Julian, give us something to talk about.
Where do Barcelona get all this money from?!
It’s been explained in the La Liga thread. They are basically selling a % of their future revenues. They are hoping to also class that incoming cash as income to help them raise the salary cap.
Just wait for the epic saga for Ben Davies as Celtic, Blackburn, and Sheffield enter bidding-war. Then there will be the late drama as Barcelona will bid £29m for Chamberlin while doing all their tappin-ups.
Where do Barcelona get all this money from?!
The more pertinent question is surely “why do players still see desperate to go there?”
Anyone with an ounce of sense can see they’ve been on the decline as a force for a few years and as a club they are a bit of a mess look to be selling off long term security for short term gain.
Not sure they’re convinced of their own keeper. Defence still has the likes of Pique and Alba playing, midfield is basically Busquets, De Jong and a bunch of kids, albeit very talented ones, and they’re looking to sell De Jong anyway. And up top is a collection of Premier League cast offs and never made it’s like Torres, Tricao, Aubameyang, Depay and Braithwaite.
Big signings so far this summer are Christensen (not even a regular at Chelsea) and Kessie (bang average) both on Bosmans. And despite having a state of the art analytics set up, they’re just chasing shiny toys, Raphinha or players that are over the hill like Azpilicueta and Marco Alonso.
Why would you want to go to that circus. You’re one below average season away from being on the chopping block, either because they’ll have yet another new manager or they’ll need to flog you to raise funds for the next shiny thing.
Can’t stand them these days.
Because it’s Barca.
Because it’s Barca.
Must be some sort of attraction to play in 1st gear for 80% of your matches in a really nice climate… Aslong as you get paid obviously…
It actually just hit me that Cabella was at Newcastle for a short stint.
Same for that Thuavin chap.
Obviously is, considering the outstanding number of great players they attracted in the past, during their best years and even now when obviously it doesn’t change over night.
Forest on a £58m net spend, so far. Interesting summer for them as they’re trying to bridge that gap.
Bryan Linssen from Feyenoord to Urawa Reds for £1.1m.
Paul Pogba from United to Juventus on a free confirmed, 4-year deal.
Gonzalo Plata from Sporting Lisbon to Real Valladolid for £2.7m.
Adam Maher from Utrecht to Damac for £1.6m.
Bunch of nobodies
Barcelona are €1.3 billion in debt, but are still talking about signing major stars like Robert Lewandowski while unveiling new players. How?
