The list goes on…

The transfer window officially opens this morning.I’m not sure that actually makes any difference to the speculation.

They could raise half the money by selling either Tchouameni or Valverde

Preferably to us.

I forgot to add and we will pounce on the chance to buy either

For those saying that RM will do the usual thing and wait until they get him for free is not going to happen as they have just lost in Benzema the most potent striker they ever had so Mbappe is mana from heaven. By the way if they decided they will raise the full amount they might decide to sell both Tchouameni and Valverde and I am sure we would raise the money somehow to buy both? Ah well dream over!

I have a bad feeling that Bellingham will end up getting buggered about by Real in the same way Gareth Bale did.

I think he will be a massive success at Madrid, provided he stays fit.

One of Bale’s major issues was his integration with squad and learning the lingo etc (as reported - not fact!), but seeing how Jude’s done at Dortmund says to me he will be better than alright at Real.

Depends if Jude suddenly decides he wants to play Golf more.

Interesting to see a 6-year deal for Bellingham. I suspect longer terms are going to become the norm - as will the renegotiations that were actually agreed years earlier. UEFA has not even made the current rule regime stick, and the clubs are already adjusting to take advantage yet. At least they have put a cap on how long those contracts can be.

Not surprising, for a top talent, top transfer and top expectations of a soon to be 20-year old, who is already a very good player. Normally you agree a 4-5 year deal, with Bellingham I’d expect nothing less than 5 years. So 6 years is nothing odd.

No, not much of a downside for the club, but you would not expect the agent to accept that deal a few years ago. Presumably being well-compensated, but I expect there is a side agreement already.

I think 6 years for this type of transfer and player is not too new. As 4-5 years is the usual minimal or norm. The likes of 7-8-9 years, that is, yeah.

Isn’t the new cap 8 years?

Don’t know about the cap or where it is. I was more thinking of rare cases I know in recent years. Milinkovic-Savic at Lazio (9 years), Saul at Atletico (9 years), Mudryk at Chelsea (8 years). For comparison, we usually go for a 5-year deal when it’s a transfer and player of the magnitude of Keita and Mac Allister. So Bellingham on a 6-year deal has little to do with today’s “trends” (of more than 6 years).

Alessandro Di Pardo from Juventus to Cagliari for €1.1m.
Sanoussy Ba from RB Leipzig to LASK Linz on loan.
Jordan Larsson from Schalke to Copenhagen for €2m.
Nikola Dovedan from Austria Vienna to Heidenheim on a free.
Luca Waldschmidt from Wolfsburg to Koln on loan.
