TAN Greatest: Invention. Currently experiencing technical issues

BA v FT is impossible. It’s like choosing between King Kenny and Stevie G. DA was great, but MPFC changed the world. I’m abstaining on both, although My Lovely Horse might just sway me.

Brilliant programme; would have been on my personal shortlist but I always invite nominations from everyone.

Others that would have been on my personal list, in no particular order:

Dear John (UK)
Third Rock From The Sun
Four On The Floor
Absolutely
Diff’rent Strokes
Chance In A Million
Goodness Gracious Me
Police Squad

That’s a bloody good quarter final lineup on its own.

Wait, what??? Didn’t you say that it was a mocking stereotype of some ethnic groups??? I like that show.

@Maria did you watch Perfect Strangers?

It is. Doesn’t mean that it isn’t funny, though.

My bad. I liked the series, though YouTube doesn’t have the best quality print.

Chance In A Million

This series was one of the funniest I have ever watched…
Brilliant parts played by Simon Callow + Brenda Blethyn
Hard to imagine now, but BB (Vera) was one sexy woman back then :+1:

The scene with the Chandeliers in Only Fools and Horses was pure comedy gold.

Anyone old enough to watch the Carry On Films, which were your top 5?

Mine are

  1. Carry on Up The Khyber - I had to for my mum, she would get upset.
  2. Carry on Screaming
  3. Carry on Cleo
  4. Carry on Henry
  5. Carry on Teacher
  6. Carry on Cabby

I liked the Batman + Robin sequence the best Maria :joy:

All the Carry On films had moments of mirth…
Will have to find the time to watch them again for a recap

I loved the Jeeves books, the movies weren’t that good though.
