That whole sequence, with two old guys on different sides of the pitch having to reconcile that in having their vision blocked by a scrum of 15 or so players they each just invented a spot for the ball they pulled out their arses that happened to be different sides of the first down marker, drove home how weird it is they still make decisions like that. You’d have thought it would be fairly easy to use GPS tech with the first down markers and a chip in the ball.

Replay that was shown with that clumsily drawn line didn’t help either. You’d think if it’s all so archaic, when in doubt you give it to the offense.

Hard to believe Mahomes isn’t MAGA himself given his family are loud and proud about it. The only piss boiled will be that of fans for another Chiefs Superbowl win off the back of generous officiating.
