Why, he’s right. I brought up this topic months ago, to no avail, because it affected me personally. At the time, I was told it was all just a joke. How I felt about it was irrelevant, except for a few people here who then contacted me personally.

When there’s a break in the pattern, you sort of wonder whether the person is on holiday, or perhaps upset by something so is retreating/taking a break. You also have a fleeting thought that something bad has happened and they have fallen ill or whatever.
