Younger,healthier people have a better survival rate with Coronavirus and thats why we vaccinate the older people with underlying health problems.

It’s actually frightening the levels of stupidity being displayed by some people,just reading the reports in the media about raves and house parties over the Christmas period(not just on the UK) makes you wonder how stupid people are(I know the answer).
Then reading the comments on those stories proves the point,covid is fake,it’s just the flu,new world order etc etc.

I don’t think people are necessarily stupid, but I think what has happen over the last few decades and 2020 really laid bare, is the trust in our institutions of state - Government, Media, law - has collapsed.
That trust has really been taken for granted, and we as a nation are going to have to rebuild it. No nation can function with people completely disregarding it’s leadership or valuing what they read on a fringe blog over a professional news source.

We discussed about this problem with my family this week-end. Trust is the key word indeed. No life is possible without trust, no nation can survive it, no family, no individual.
A life without a minimum of trust in the people around oneself, in the institutions, in science etc. can easily lead to paranoia, at individual or collective level.
Even though we must not naively believe everything thrown at us, we still need to chose to place our trust in people and institutions. And that’s where the social media are so increasingly toxic. For whatever reason, many people chose to place their trust in unchecked sources all over the internet, rather than in their democratically elected governments, or in professional news sources.
If I had a say in anything at all, I’d look to destroy all the news sources on internet which have been proven to spread out fake news, as well as mass social media like facebook, twitter and the likes. There’s simply too much fake news out there, which is then echoed millions of times on those mass social media sites. That has to end, one way or another. Otherwise, it will end up destroying us all.
