Exactly. Hovercars, time travel, maybe some cool space shit - instead we got anti-science conspiracies, religious killings and Neo-Nazis. It’s getting kinda old.
At least it doesn’t look as fucked up as it did in Bladerunner. Still, only a matter of time.
Right now I’d be happy with the original film’s setting, maybe a bit less rain
Did you see the pictures from San Francisco a little while ago? It looked exactly like Bladerunner, the remake at least
No worries, just another 9 years before John Connor leads the uprising against the machines!
No way. Fake owls, implying that we’ve basically killed everything and population even more dense than now. It’s starting to feel incredibly accurate.
So we’re actually placing our hope in Elon Musk? For real?
A lot can happen in 29 years
The bars looked kinda cool though
Haha, well said!
Lolwut. It would quite honestly take a 5 month lockdown to get to manageable cases that would make testing and tracing effective. Then you’d need to test and trace.
Oh, and you’d need to fucking close the borders.
For the UK, like the rest of Europe, that ship has sailed.
Some sobering news from Denmark that I was just made aware of yesterday.
Denmark has decided to attempt to exterminate all minks in the country and the cull is under way.
The reason is that a mutation in the corona virus has been found in more than 60 minks and they genuinely fear that this mutation will kick start the pandemic again with a mutation that vaccine will not work on.
It is quite serious:
"Mette Frederiksen said a report from a government agency mapping the coronavirus in Denmark showed a mutation of the virus found in 12 people in the north of the country who were infected with mink. Health Minister Magnus Heunicke said half of the 783 COVID-19 cases in northern Denmark are “related” to mink.
“It’s very, very serious,” said Frederiksen. “This means that the mutated virus in minks can have devastating consequences worldwide.”
Delhi here is seeing a rapid rise in cases. Officials have called this a third wave. This is bad.
If lockdown rules are followed then in 4 weeks cases and deaths should be significantly reduced.
Is a large part of the problem people not following the rules?
reminds me of that Chris Morris scene where he is a news reader challenging his own reporter
