There was a marginal one a couple of balls before as well which could have been a no ball as well.
I think taking that into the equation , the umpire looked at it harshly
It really shouldn’t work like that.
Umpires are human as well. Imagine the outroar if both balls aren’t given ?
And pak is to blame for keeping the spinner to bowl the last over. It’s always a recipe for disaster especially in a non subcontinent pitch
Last over, bowl yorkers, not spin. You’re just going to get pulled to the fence.

Nawaz ended up bowling the last over because he had been hit for 20+ off his third over. Babar gambled on his pacemen putting the game out of reach before Nawaz had to be brought back for his last over. The plan almost worked until Rauf, attempting one of those yorkers, produced a no-ball beamer which Kohli hit for six. That was the turning point as he also got a free hit which went for 3, thereby giving India effectively 9 tuns off one ball.
Nawaz and Pakistan would probably have won if it hadn’t been for that mistake by Rauf.
First game rained off then, looked a bit dangerous towards the end there. Surprised they kept them on as long as they did. Found it a bit strange they gave Zimbabwe 9 overs, surely if they knew it was going to continuously rain all night you immediately put it down to 5 overs a side in the hope of getting a game in?

This is gonna hurt SA more. I do believe aus has a indoor cricket stadium as well , why not schedule matches which have a chance of rain there if reserve days aren’t permitted ?
